Removeable vs Portable Poles - I am very new to this

I am very new to this and need to purchase a pole. I need a pole I can move from place to place. I live during the week in an apartment in one city and stay in a house in another city most weekends. I am thinking a portable one would be best however, I don't understand how they attach to the ceiling. I don't want to damage the ceiling at the apartment. The house is mine so that would not be an issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You should get a removal and portable pole like an x-pole. It comes in pieces which makes it portable. It is bottom loading so there is a dome on top of the pole which is placed under a beam in your ceiling. The bottom part of the pole turns so you can tighten the pole between the floor and the ceiling. You don't have to screw anything into your ceiling.

Thank you. Does that mean I need to get 2 poles? I see that there are portable ones and then there are removable ones.

No you don't need to get two unless you want to. The portable one come apart into multiple pieces that can be reassembled wherever you just keep in mind it's ceiling height limits which you pick when you buy it. The removable ones tend to be one long piece so those are not very portable for what you want to do. A popular removable one is lil minx poles. You will also want to consider the finish (type of metal or coating) on the pole. Depending on your type of skin (dry or if you sweat a lot) you will want a particular type of finish.

I don't sweat much and, what about the diameter? I am sure portable will be the way to go for me. What are your thoughts on spinning vs static or should I get one that does both? You have been so helpful and thank you.

XPole XPert. Has the option of spin and static. Breaks down into several pieces that fit into a "gun case" and then the dome top. The "gun case" is about 4' wide and easily transportable. The pieces that come standard will fit up to a 9 foot ceiling. I would suggest going to the XPole site and watching the videos. Most people go with 45mm. 40mm is better for hand grip but worse for leg grip and the 50mm is the opposite. The 45 is good for everything. If I were you I would get a pole that has spin and static. They are both so much fun and it's go to switch it up. If you tend to have dry skin/hands you might like chrome or TG. If you sweat you will like brass. From least grippy to most grippy: stainless steel, chrome, TG, brass, powder coated. Do you want a new pole or used?

Thank you so much. I am really thinking of a used pole but will buy a new one. However, other than going to sites that sell poles, I would have no idea where to find a used one. I will probably end up buying new.

You may be able to find someone selling a used pole here. If you are looking to buy new we sell xpoles and lil mynx too! From what I've read I'd say a Chrome or Titanium finish 45mm X-pert (this is a spinning AND static pole) is a good fit for you. However if you do sweat when working out or live where there is high humidity and heat go with brass. https://www.studioveena.com/store/
