Does anyone know what the "Sidewinder" is? A new student mentioned it in class and asked me how to do it but couldn't explain it well and I have no idea what she is talking about as I don't THINK I've ever heard a move by that name? I'm guessing it's known by another name?

its a new trick to the Sfactor cirriculum. it's like a fireman but you catch your trailing leg and switch to a fireman halfway through.
I think she has a friend who is in SF...that would explain it. She explained it like she saw it on youtube. So if I understand that's the one where turn to hook your outside leg on the pole and keep the second leg straight or bent but out behind you as you spin then bring it in to the pole at the end?

Ahh, I know that one as the Dragonfly spin, and can be done as leading leg dragonfly, or trailing leg dragonfly. I'm not sure where I heard the name though... I think one of our students may have brought it back from Singapore??

The first half of the move is known as 'Hollywood spin' in Australia (inside leg hooked at the back, outside leg sticking out horizontally), and the second half is a standard fireman. So that would be called a Hollywood into Fireman, to me. 👍
