"Costume" contest in Jamaica

I get recruited for a costume contest and naturally they turn it into a pole dancing contest. Now the girl next to me (not the one you see who was insisting on giving me the scarf back after it fell off my head! LOL) turns to me to complain it's not fair with me up there. As I walked up to the pole I whispered to the staff member on stage that I wasn't going to do anything special cause it wasnt fair and she whispers back "bust your moves girl, we aren't LETTING you win anyway! LOL So I had some fun with it....wish I wouldn't have been so nervous that I forgot this sort of stuff for my routine! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9JxpU4iCmw

You look much more at ease in that video than you did in your earlier one. Looks like the week was a blast!

I was Chemmie! I have always HATED performing - it's just not my thing so I am a wreck when I have to do it. While the showcase was the first time ever that I've actually enjoyed performing, I was so busy and so distracted with all the responsibility and what was happening back stage that I didn't relax into my routine. Still it was a major accomplishment for me so I'm kind of looking forward to next time.

amazing sequence out of superman!! 😲 i can do moves but i have no creativity to put them into sequences!!! 😢 so.... how did you do that???

It really doesn't seem that difficult to me but it's risky when you first try it. I'm not certain I can explain it in writing and of course there is some risk to trying to teach it this way so don't consider this "instruction" but I can give you some ideas. If you have a spotter and crash mat...one way to practice it is to not do it hands free...walk your hands down the pole as you work out the positions you have to transition into. If you notice you also bend the knee up that is on the same side as your hand that is gripping the pole and grip behind the knee and lower leg before you fall into it. Then your Scorpio is done on that side as well.

great superman fall girl!!!! 🥂 looked as good as mine! I just saw your tutorial and realized you do this into a scorpio on the opposite side and I do it to the same side. In other words I'm gripping with my RIGHT arm and drop to a right leg hang/scorpio You grip with your LEFT arm and drop to a right leg hangs/scorpio. INteresting! I don't know if I can do it your way!
