Quick question about shoe color

So I was wondering about color matching. Basically, I have my shoes picked out but...I don't know whether to get solid black shoes or ones that the straps and direct contact to your foot bit are black and the rest is clear. Same shoe. I just don't know which would be better for overall color matching. Like, I have my eyes on a solid red dress but I was wondering if the solid black shoes would look odd. As well as dance outfits with no black in the them. Thoughts?
