😕 Ok...So when There are moves referred to as "spins"...Are these "spins" done in static mode, or spinning mode on the pole?? I ask because a lot of video's I've been viewing of them being done, appear to be done on a spinning pole. What's best for a beginner?

A "spin" by my understanding is something you can do on a static pole that causes you to spin around. Spinning poles also allow for "spins," but they change the rules a bit. I only have a static pole, so that's how I learned it. So, if it's something you can spin around on, and especially if you spin around a lot on, then you can call it a "spin!" 🥂

I personally call don't call them "spins" if your using a spinning pole...I call them Holds, because the pole its self it moving and your really only "holding" the position as the pole moves you. On a static (non spinning) pole I call any move where YOU rotate around the pole a spin. 👽
I agree with veena. I don't consider it a "spin" if you're not doing the spinning. LOL
while i technically agree with you veena and sissy, i don't know if we want to get into changing names of spins depending on the equipment used. well i don't lol there are already too many confusing names of moves lol. but even if you have the pole on spin mode it is still possible to spin faster than the pole, isn't it? i would call the same moves spins either way. as far as which is better for a beginner its your choice of what you're comfortable with, you will want to learn on both eventually anyway. also on both sides of the body! don't forget that lol as we all remembered recently. 😳
I started learning on a spinny pole which I think was quite good as it meant I was concentrating on the shape and holding myself up without having to think about the momentum thing to get myself spinning round a static pole as well (does that make sense?). 🤔
