Questions about my new Xpert

Hi Everyone! I just got my new Xpole Xpert assembled and I have a few questions....as I was putting it together I noticed it has a half dozen or so cosmetic blemishes (some dark marks that wouldn't clean off and one of the xjoints is pretty roughed up at the top)...is this common? Also, my ceiling is 7 feet 8 inches so it's too short for any extensions but with my pole in place, there are several inches of the adjuster rod visible...the pole is pretty much at the very top of the rod.....this doesn't put any extra strain on the adjuster rod, does it? And finally, with the pole in static, the pole still turns a bit to each side....is there something that I'm not tightening correctly or is this normal? I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

The x joints should not be rough, and u shouldn't see any of the threaded part under the adjuster rod, if u do u should be able to put 180mm ext on the top right under the dome, that is the shorter ext and x joint. as far as the moving on static it shouldnt if the 3 screws under adjuster rod are tightened correctly, did you buy ur pole from xpole directly?

I just checked the the screws and I didn't have them tightened enough *blushes*...thanks for the tip....i'm scared of hurting the pole so I tried not to tighten anything too much lol...the rough part of the xjoint is at the very top, like around the edge, but I don't use that one when I put my pole up...should I call Xpole and replace it or just leave it? Do you mean I shouldn't see any of the rod below the adjuster cover? Because It covers fine there's just alot of rod showing (i had to turn the pole for like 3 minutes straight....I tried putting the smaller extension on but it was too long for my ceiling...)...I bought it from this site about a week ago..

Maybe post a piccie of the xjoint you're worried about so we can see? When I installed my pole I used only the smallest extension but it was nearly at the limit, so when I screw my pole in place I have about 9cm (3.5 inches) of adjuster rod showing. When I screw the adjuster cover back up in place I can't see any of the adjuster rod. My pole feels stable and it's never fallen, so I wouldn't worry about the fact you had to spin it a lot. As long as you're sure you can't fit the next extension on it, then it'd be all good :) The fun part is trying to get it level.. XD

Ur adjuster rod should be fully covered by the adjuster cover if its showing I would def call xpole and talk to them about it they have awesome cust serv. They will be able to tell u exacly what ext to use and will help u get it if needed

My ceiling is 7-2 and I needed a special ext pole 750mm and I dont use B pole but I do still need sm ext so the inside rod doesnt show. You can hurt yourself if that is showing and you slide down ur pole...please call xpole hon u dont want to hurt urself

Thanks for the replies! I'll try to post a pic if I can find my camera. Sorry if my explanation is confusing, I'm still new to pole so I'm trying my best to explain clearly :). The adjuster rod is completely covered by the adjuster cover when the pole is extended...before I screw the adjuster cover up though, there's almost 5 inches of adjuster rod showing when I have my pole firmly in place. I've tried to put the small extension on but it's like 1 1/2 inches too tall once I put the dome on. The pole feels totally stable, but I didn't know if it's was normal to have that much of the adjuster rod visible. I'll probably call XPole and see what they say...thanks again for the help guys!

you are fine as long as once its up its covered i have about 7 inches of rod underneath too that is completely normal i thot u meant it was showing with the cover up and screwed on give it a good two hand gorilla shake and make sure its tight before u jump on but it sounds like ur good to go hon

The X Joint will never be visible and you will never touch it while on your pole so I woudl not worry too terribly much about it. Every pole will have blemishes....I have never seen one that did not have them. What metal did you get?

Hi. My xpert in static mode starts to move after sometime of training. I just screw the 3screws tighter again at the bottom, but I've noticed that the bottom started to have scratches from the screws. I guess in time the screws will need to be replaced. My pole had blemishes too, but they're now gone. As for the xjoints, they were completely fine.

@damninnocent11 - The three screws need to be lined up with and tightened into the flat parts of the adjuster rod. If you tighten them into the screw threads of the adjuster rod you will cause damage that may inhibit the functionality of your pole.

@webmaster thanks. Yes that's what I do actually. The screws I was referring to we're the 2 screws at the bottom :) which makes the pole static - they get loose after sometime of training. Sorry I mixed them up

@damninnocent11 - make sure that the two screws at the bottom allign with the Xs on the base plate. if they do there should be no way for the pole to move as they are physically locked inside the bearing unit.
