So, I was on the Pleaser website, and I noticed the style I was looking at had two variations: one without an ankle strap and one with an ankle strap and buckle. Which should I get? Will the buckle scratch the pole? Would the one with no ankle strap come flying off? Any info or experience shared would be appreciated. x

You definitely want to stick with shoes with straps. Mules are okay if you have the experience dancing in them, but yes, they will come flying off. I have a pair with buckles and I have not experienced any scratching on the pole because their position rests around the ankle and not at a place where my foot would connect with the pole to damage it. Once you find the style you like, I recommend looking for it on other discount sites. I'll try to find a list to get back to you with stores so you can save a bit while shopping 🙂
I had a pair of clear Ellie shoes and over time the plastic got brittle (best way to describe it). One of the straps broke off so I decided to just cut them off from both shoes and I do not feel as secure in them as I used to. The straps add a good amount of stability.

Definatly get heels with ankle straps 🌸 I really like my Ellie shoes, the chrome ones I wear are Ellie and they are my most comfortable. I have very narrow feet, so I'm not sure if someone with wider feet would like them. I also normally wear a half size in shoes, but in "stripper" heel they usually don't come in half sizes, so I go down in size not up, because they tend to stretch a bit. 😀
