Question on adjustment cover of X-pole

Hey veeners! I have a question on X-pole. I have both static only pole and static&spinning pole. It's about spinning pole. The adjustment cover area which is down below really bothers me because of the fact that it could rotate while I put my hand and load my weight on it. For example, when I first tried aysha, I freaked out when the cover got loosened while my bottom hand was holding the pole around the adjustment cover area. I wanna know if there is a solution for it. Thank you in advance. With love.

I've had xpole with adjustment cover on the bottom and have never had that happen. And I do grip alot on the cover as my pole is not real tall so I end up there quite a bit or I'm cautious about being higher when doing certain tricks. I wonder if others have had that happen and what their response would be. I know we are not supposed to over tighten, but wonder if it needs to be tightened more. Have you asked xpole? Yes, that would freak me out too.

If you have the cover all the way up and tight this should never happen. I have to screw mine numerous rotations before it finally sits in its final resting place and once it is there it takes some oomph to get it to loosen again.

Mine did that when I fist started using my x pert. You just need to tighten the adjuster cover much tighter.

Just wondering, as I have had a question about the adjuster cover as well, though a little different, has anyone had trouble with the adjuster cover getting stuck up? I can unscrew mine from the A-pole, but it will not drop down to the base. I have contacted x-pole and am waiting to hear back, but I thought I would check with you ladies. :)

Corby, do you have the 40? I know there was something different about the way the 40 was designed that has this issue. That is the only thing I have ever heard of with regards to it not dropping down.

Adjuster Covers First the 40mm - The adjuster cover on the 40mm cannot go to the base because the cover is much smaller in diameter than the bearing unit on the bottom – we keep all our bearing sizes the same (and don’t forget X-Pole uses 6 bearing 3 up and 3 down for stability) so it will not go all the way down and is not removable without undoing the whole adjuster. Is there a specific reason why it needs to go all the way to the base? Adjuster Cover - Because it is a screw thread attachemnt it is possible, if it is not done up tightly, the pole is in static and a clockwise grip rotation is applied that it could rotate and undo. Please keep reading as there is a possible way to solve the problem. But at least the X-pole cover is fully non-impinging and does not rotate or undo normally! As to removing it if it is stuck undo the 3x adjuster rod locking screws first, before you try to remove the adjuster cover. Undoing the adjuster screws releases any side pressure on the adjuster rod body which in turn releases the pressure on the cover. In reverse it is possible sometimes to lock the adjuster cover tighter by aligning the screws with the flats on the shaft, lightly tighten one screw so the unit does not move, now screw on the adjuster cover and then tighten the screws tight one at a time (not by progressively going round the pole as is normal). This can put a slight ‘set’ between the adjuster body and the cover locking it in place. But do not forget to undo the adjuster screws before removing the cover. X-Pole are aware of the adjuster cover situation and this is being worked on. X-Pole Tech Team

Yep I do have the 40. And I did not really explain my situation very well. It does not matter to me whether the cover drops to the base, what I had meant to write was that it doesn't drop to the bearing unit. In fact, it doesn't move at all. I can't move the adjuster cover in pretty much any direction, up or down. It has scratched up the pole a little bit, and because it doesn't go up and down, it does affect the set up because I can only adjust the pole to where it's currently stuck. Instead of moving the adjuster cover up and screwing it onto the bottom of A pole, I have to screw A pole into the adjuster cover. Because of this, there is less wiggle room with adjusting the pole and setting up.

Corby - Please can you take some good photos on a camera, not phone, and send them to us please. It is very difficult to understand the problem but we think that the adjuster O-Ring may have come out of its slot and is locking the adjuster cover in place.
