putting up a pole in rented accommodation

Hi pole peeps I'm moving into rented accomodation soon and am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to put my Xpole up Has anyone else put up a pole in a rented flat/house? I had my pole up in the garage and the rim has left a faint circular mark where the pole's been. Does anyone know of any ways to put up an X-Pole without the rim leaving a mark? Or know whether it's safe to put a piece of fabric or wood under the rim so it doesn't mark? I obviously want the pole to be safe so don't want to put anything under the rim thats going to make it dangerous I don't want to lose my deposit but I think I might go insane if I don't have a pole in my house...

I have the same problem as well! I'm currently renting one of the older houses in town where luckily was newly renovated with wooden planks (?) across the ceiling so it looks similar to the inside of the cabin. My x-pole has the clear rubber grip so there wouldn't be any noticeable marks. However, I'll be moving to another part of town into a brand new condo with a 9' ceiling (yay! I'm super excited about this higher ceiling height!) but I'm not sure if it would ruin the stucco ceiling as well. I wouldn't suggest putting anything between the ceiling and the pole though. It seems dangerous and would probably increase the chance of ruining the ceiling. I'd love to hear other people's suggestions as well!

I have a pole up in my apartment. There is a little smushing of the drywall in a circle, but oh well, they probably won't notice there are so many sags in the ceiling. You can tell where the beams and nails are lol. I plan to put a fresh coat of paint to cover my hoop scuffs and if I leave any dents, I'll caulk them over. Cheap, easy, and the place I'm renting from is so cheap and stingey, they probably won't notice in the least. I HAVE heard of people putting wood up to keep from making marks on the ceiling, but I'd imagine you'd have to secure the wood to the ceiling or else the wood/fabric could slide. Good luck!

I have a pole up in my rented suite and It has left a small ring from the dome but I figure when I do leave I will just try to patch it up a little. It's still minor damage, no more then any other scuffs on wall.

I've put my poles up in many rentals, as long as you follow the instructions and put it up right you'll be fine! In fact I'm in a rental right now and I'll be putting up a pole soon :)

I have put an x pole and a PS 1 piece in my apartment. I want to note that I have a fairly smooth, with slight texture ceiling. I also have vinyl floors. There is a slight, slight, slight ring on my ceiling from my x, but it isn't anything that painting over can't fix, and most apartments re-paint after a tenant leaves. My x did leave an indented ring in the vynil floor. It has slowly started to go away since I replaced it with my PS pole. My PS pole hasn't left any marks (since the top and base distribute the pressure over a larger surface area.) The floor should be okay if it is anything other than vinyl.

I have my xpole up in my rented apartment. I took it down in feb for a property inspection after it had been up since November and all there was was a dust ring where the rim was but it came off with a baby wipe. Winner :-) they didn't notice a thing!!

i bring my pole everywhere, hotels ect ect , i bring a board about 1" thick hardwood PLUS a yoga mat that fits on it the sheetrock is not the same everywhere, its always fine with a board and yoga mat, doesnt leave marks i ONCE didnt use the board and.... BANG the ceilling "crackes: good thing it was a "rough" ceilling, i chewed a whole pack of gum to hide the damage LOLLL
