Put a pole on two beams ?

Hi guys ! I'm wondering if anyone could help me here. I want to put a pole up in my living room, where the beams are exposed, but the problem here is that the beams are too narrow for the dome... So I thought maybe I could put up the pole on two beams, because the spacing between the beams allows me to do that. I'm a bit worried about stability though. Isn't the pole going to exert pressure right on the middle of the dome, namely on the hollow part between the two beams ? Does anyone have the same kind of ceiling ? Thanks guys !!

Depending on yours beam width and type, as opposed to the dome you could use a ‘home mount' This is a small, unobstrusive permanent mount designed for home use. Please contact your local X-Pole office for more information. Regards X-Pole Tech Team

One option might be to mount a piece of plywood across the two beams and then set the pole up under the plywood. It should help spread the load across the middle to the beams.

Thank you ! I'll try to get a home mound just in case the plywood option does not work, but I think I read something similar somewhere else ! Thanks :)
