Product: "Liquid Grip"

Hi Everyone...just thought I'd throw this out there. A slightly newer grip product on the scene I recently tried is called "Liquid Grip" They advertised in Vertical Art & Fitness last month too. We tried it this week in class and the girls really like it. It has a decent smell to it...a bit like coconut. Works well in the warm weather. It's slightly thick - creamy. Dries your hands and adds a bit of tack. Depending on your chemistry and how much you use you can still spin on static with it while it helps you hold on.

This is the stuff I use and fell in love the first time I tried it. You can get large bottles of it through Vitamin Shoppe (and I think they have it in theh stores, too). I have one of the little bottles that is almost always in my purse (you never know!). http://liquidgrip.com/ I will add that this stuff will stay on you until you wash.

Amy said it is a lot ike Tite Grip is it's efficacy for stopping sweating hands. Do you find that to be the case for you? I keep trying tite grip, but it doesn't seem to be working.

i didn't mean that it was like tite grip... i found it was more like grrrrip in that it's not technically an antipersperant, but the coating was much more durable (like grrrip) than dry hands and lasted longer. if you have sweaty hands though, and tite grip doesn't do anything for you, i dont think this will either.

I do not have very sweaty hands but when I get warm or am trying something new this is my go to aid. To me it is like a mix between a tack aid and drying aid. It definitely does dry your hands and works a million times better if you are sweaty over dry. It also makes them sticky like if you got something sweet on your hands and it dried, but not obnoxiously so. A long time ago on the forums they had talked about using 7up in a spray bottle on your legs....it is that kind of sticky.

All products work differently for different people depending on your personal chemistry. I know a lot of people who swear by a product but it does nothing for me. A product may improve one persons grip but not help with sweat and yet another person it helps with sweat but does nothing for grip. I keep a basket of products in our studio so that our students can experiment to find what's right for themselves. Though we definitely have some products which work more consistently among more students and most products have a primary purpose like anti perspirant, tack, etc.

We had itac (all levels), dry hands, mighty grip and liquid grip. I now carry all of these in my "bag" plus I have added (all three levels)....Oh, and a rosin bag!. One can never be too prepared!

I've been using liquid grip and it works great for me. If I need stickiness on top of grip I use a little bit of itac on top of it. The liquid grip seems to keep the itac in proper form (it doesn't turn into an oil slick like itac usually does). Definately recommend it.

I've read so many great things about Tite Grip, but I bought some and ended up giving it to my studio because it makes my grip WORSE. Like, have to deathgrip the pole or I'll slide right off. It's weird. I really like LG because of it's staying power... I use it in combination with Dry Hands. DH is more effective for me but LG lasts longer. I also got mine at the Vitamin Shoppe... it's HUUUUGE botle for 20 bucks, I can't see myself running out any time soon lol. Anyway I put a bit of LG, let it dry, then add a dab of Dry Hands if needed. Works great for me. I'm not very sweaty but I have really dry skin so I like a little bit of tackiness with my grips to prevent sliding.

I used Tite Grip too and slid off the pole. Itac turns into an grease slide on me, and Dry hands works great for a little bit. Where do you get rosin?

Just went and bought liquid grip, ill let you know how I like it :) I have been using Dry hands, and I seem to like dry hands more on my legs then I do on my hands. I have just been using a 50/50 mix of alcohol and water and noticed that has been more helpful then dry hands. The only thing is I have to wipe my hands more often, so routines are hard.
