Hi, I having serious problem with Gemini, I can not seem to get the grip behind the knee it hurts way too much. I must be doing something wrong. Can you help? 🧿 Thanks xx

It would be best if you can post a video as this is a rather vague question. There are many things you can be doing that would cause pain behind the knee. The only thing I can advise without seeing your vid it make certain you have a "clean" placement with no skin or tissue twisted or caught the wrong way, the knee should bend so that the foot is pointing toward the floor and the pole is placed more toward the lateral portion or outside the knee. Also improper body alignment on the pole could be placing extra stress on the knee.
Are you doing the outside leg hang or the inside leg hang? Opinion is split 50/50 on which one is gemini and which one is scorpio. If you're hooking with your outside leg (which it sounds like), then as Empy said, you need to get right in that knee pit. I find it helps to bring my hips up closer to the pole, and then twist them inwards (towards the pole). This gives you a better chance of getting the right angle on the knee. It does hurt a lot though at first. Or at least, it did for me. I am just now conditioning myself to do it on my other side (after 2 years) and it's hurting a lot! Oh and don't try taking both your hands off for a while, just let your knee adjust first 😉
You know I just got this down like a few weeks ago? I studied the videos, watched things in slow-mo and fought and fought, and then it just happened. I was kind of surprised that it seemed like I was trying TOO hard maybe? I wasn't really expecting to do it, I scooted things around, inside leg hang, and badda-bing I was hands-free in Gemini. I did the happy dance and was so excited I dragged the hubby off the couch to come and watch. Up I went and did it three or four more times. I thought it would take many months more, so maybe you'll just pop into it before you know it? Don't know if that is much help..I'm a newbie, but just continuing to try to find the right position that worked for me finally made it happen. Best of luck with it! 👍 Becky
