Problems dismantling my X-pole :(

Gotta move my x-pole and have started to attempt to take it down, but the joints won't move. When trying to unscrew the adjuster rod to move the dome down to take the rest of the pole down, it moves a certain amount each way and then I can't get it to move any further each way and it starts to unscrew the top section of the pole. Please help!!! Sarah xxx
