I'm not even sure where to begin looking for advice on this! I finally got one of the new xpoles (let me say, I absolutely love it) for my apartment, and have a tiny space in my bedroom that I can use. The problem is, there's carpet everywhere, and I'm starting to get some nasty burns from it. Is there anyone else who has this problem, and what do you do? 😕

Hey there, I have the same problem and my suggestion would be to either buy a pole mat or a stage. I know more money right? I have been using a really soft blanket for practicing floor work and at Christmas I bought a silky Christmas tree skirt that you can slid right over the base of the pole and pin it in a few spots to your carpet. this has actually worked so well. and even when I start sticking to hard wood flooring I use it. Just a few Ideas. Hope they work! PinkyPower
I have carpet in my room too and I luckily have never had a problem with it. AS for suggestions... http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/wooden-foam-mats I have something similar for my daughter that she plays on and she never gets like rug burn or anything from it. plus they come in tons of colors

For about $20 you can pick up a piece of paneling at the hardware/home improvement store. I have a piece that looks like silver tile down under my pole (in the garage). The stuff that they have for bathrooms is usually much prettier. I would probably glue some of that no skid foam on the back on the paneling though just to be safe. At one point in time I had also found this company for another poler, which is removable dance flooring: Snaplock

I have never had problems on my carpet. I guess I don't do a lot of floor work...
