Polepeople DVDs

Hi! I wanted to know what you're thinking about the polepeople dvds! I have the 2 of them and I think they're great, specially for a non-good-english-speaking-and-understanding!! They're famous here in France, even more than those of Vertical dance and Jamilla! The figures are well explained, with low vision, step by step and sometimes variations. The best is to have polepeople's, vertical dance's, bobbi's and Jamilla's dvds! Hum... have to wait a little, there is my birthday soon! 🌸

I own these two DVDs as well but have been hesitant to post anything about them since I have Jamilla's series to compare them to. These were the best I could find for sale when I first became enamored with pole dance over two years ago. I have to say honestly, while PolePeople's set is beautifully produced and informative, Jamilla currently puts them to shame on a few things. The most glaring offense is there's a lot of jumping into moves which can cause serious injury over time, and nothing of this is ever mentioned in their lessons. 👎 Jamilla has par excellence on gracefully getting into a move with pure strength alone. 🙊 Also, spotting is not adequately covered and their best safety advice was to just put down some pillows. A lot of the moves are essentially the same but the execution differs vastly. This is less noticeable in their second DVD; you can tell the instructors had taken the long DVD release gap to train themselves to a more acceptable level. On the positive side again as I said these are beautifully produced sets and the girls are cute and fun; the warm ups, strength training and choreography routines make these a keeper for me as well as the couple of moves that aren't taught on Jamilla's set. Because of the training and safety issues, I'd give it three out of five stars. ☀️

I have the PolePeople Intermediate DVD and I love it! They are very easy to follow, beautifully done - both set and videography, and the extras are great! I have yet to see any of Jamilla's DVD's, so I don't have hers to compare to. My only other pole DVDs I've watched were Pantera's Pole Tricks 101 and Pole Addiction's Beginner to Advanced DVDs (which were's very well done...) 🙁

I have the two Polepeople DVDs and I love them! I had the first two of Jamilla's Art of Pole series and I didn't like them at all, which surprised me considering the rave reviews everybody gives that series. I much prefer the Polepeople and Vertical Dance DVDs.

To be perfectly honest, I like both Jamilla and Polepeople. I find Jamilla really goes in depth into her moves, and I like that a lot, because sometimes that's what I need. However, I found her warm ups and cool downs to be brutal! 💪 I was halfway sick and shaking bad by the time I was done! I'm totally not ready for that kind of hardcore! However, I really did like the Polepeople DVD's for their warm ups, and such. They're easier and fun, so I felt happier and well warmed by the end of it. 🙂 I say to each their own 😉
