Pole too sticky

Any tips on what I can apply to my self/pole to make it less sticky? I'm trying to practice some spins on the static mode of my LM Rotator (painted) pole, and it is just too sticky!! Has anyone else experienced this? What do you recommend I use for this?

It's too sticky this time of year? WOW. Mine is usually that way only during the humid summer months. I have never had issues with spins but more so with sticking and trying to get off of the pole from a hold of some sort. In this case I might look into baby powder or chalk.
