Yeah talking about the floor-to-ceiling tension. It can create that, uneven spin feeling, that makes it spin back when you let it go, that *bump, bump, bump* kind of feeling as you turn it in your hands.
Chem: When I'm speaking of small and big things, I am referring to the things which are screwed in with small and large hex keys. As to which model I have, I don't know, and don't understand the difference either... seems to me it's the one in the regular installation video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m04WT3y5w7Q

did u have 2 screw your pole together when u were putting up? as the newer x-pole u dont screw the pieces together, there is an xjoin which connects the pole pieces and which u line up and tighten with a hex key. x

Well, yeah, I didn't put anything inside the pole when putting the two large parts together, I just put the pieces besides each-other (top and bottom) with the silver-colored thing in-between, and then I tightened (or rather expanded) the silver-colored thing in two places with the hex key. The links you post don't seem to work though, pole gal.
Did u tighten each hole a little bit or did u tighten the top hole thn the second hole after the 1st because ur meant to tighten each bit at a time as u could over tighten it. Have u tried to take it down and put it back up again to see if that helps.
Sarah: Yep, several times, on both accounts. I'm just gonna drop it for now, and just use it, or sign up for a pole-dancing course and perhaps ask someone there who has a pole of their own to take a look at the pole. Thanks for the help everyone!
