Pole, pictures and toes. Lol

I spent almost four wonderful hours shooting a new set of pole photos with a friend and photographer yesterday. I could sit here and critique my body for having a fluff here or a poofy part there. But no, I work hard and have three beautiful babies from said body. But I am going to critique my damn toes! I have slightly large and wide feet for my size. And don't get me started on my long toes. I seriously have monkey feet, my sister and I have been known to gross our kids out by handing eachother ketchup/ranch bottles with our feet while cooking. They are not "ugly" feet at a glance, but in pole photos... They are! A toe going this way, a toe flaring that way... Sheesh, they need to get together "literally" and start acting pretty.

Warm up your toes, not just ankles. Move them back and forth for example. Check how you would like your feet and toes to look and train your muscle memory to remember it. Cold feet will cramp much more easily, so don't ignore them. If you work in heels, use them less often as I don't think you get toe training in those. I guess all feet look a bit awkward in close ups and so, all in their own way. But I think you should be able to correct that they point in different directions.

I've warmed them up and they rarely cramp, but I've never really thought about muscle memory. I can get them to point but they Just aren't pretty.

I think you shouldn't worry so much about how your toes look. the important thing is that they are pointed. You will look at some photos and think ,dam, I look good in that hold and not even think about your toes. The point being you will look so good there3 will be no focus on the feet and toes!!

Ok, that's good, keep moving them when you warm up. The more you work on exercising the muscles in your feet and toes, the more steerable they'll become. I checked your photo album and while I really don't think your feet look "strange" it seems to me that you point your ankle but not always your toes. I don't know if you were just not doing so on those pics or if it's in general. It's a practice thing so if you always think about it, it will get better. If you need an extra stretch for the toes/front part of your foot you can get a broad stretchy band and do as in my picture. It's a static stretch so I'm just holding.

Thanks to Lina's advice my toes and feet are getting much prettier. Today while trying to pester my husband out of bed I said "look how pretty their getting"... He wasn't amused. :-D but he's rarely amused at anything pole
