Okay that sounds like a good idea. Let me find out the cost and what times would be available and I'll post it here -- I'll ask for the price w/ or w/o an instructor there to teach. And hopefully that will help get the ball rolling! 😬
Update from The Art of the Catwalk: 1) Price with or without an instructor present for a 6 hr pole jam open to all that wish to attend including refreshments and an official AOTC Pole Jam 2010 Tank $35 2) We have 12 Permanent Platinum Stages Stainless Steel poles 11ft 7 of them spin plus I have a Star Stand Alone that is also Stainless with a 2 foot extension (10 foot pole spinning or static) 3) Kat’s studio is very close to my studio and my house so possibly we could make a weekend event out of it I am an event planner and we are both friends and she worked for me for a long time so that’s not a problem 4) Kat’s studio has 18ft Chrome XPOLES, they are building a structure to attach them to but it’s still in the early stages of production and as everything in construction they are taking their sweet time ( I feel bad because I remember the stress they put me thru building my two studios ) 5) Times Available at the Studio Friday 7/23/2010 7- Whenever we want to stop Poling 6) Times Available at the Studio Saturday 7/24/2010 Wide open (for special events we normally would cancel all pole classes to accommodate a large group 7) Photo shoots- We normally do shoots here in my studio with Don. I have my own staff of makeup artists and hair people. Don’s awesome and so sweet. I actually introduced him to pole dance in January before that he was just a regular photographer… Now he’s obsessed like a junkie(lol I am kind of his Pole PimP ) Did you want to do a 1 on 1 with him or have him do pictures during the workshop? Either can be arranged very easily… 😎 Do you need me to block rooms or do you think that everyone will be alright on their own? I have connections at the Hotel Duval and they have an amazing view of the city and it’s the nicest hotel in the area except for the A Loft which is also nice but I love the Duval!!! _______________________________________ Let me know what you girls are thinking so I can start planning with the studio owner(s). Okay now that things have settled down after the pole convention, I just wanted to go ahead and get a head count so I could start making things official!! I was thinking Saturday 7/24/2010, would you guys be up for a jam around 11am? Can't wait to meet you ladies, and also see the ones I was lucky enough to meet at the Pole Con!! I'm praying BP doesn't totally jack up my vacation plans, but I'm afraid they will.. boo 🙁

Hi Ladies, Kat and I are looking to get a firm # of how many people are interested in coming up for the POLE JAM in July. As of right now Vertical is still under construction and there aren't any poles up at this time, so she and I agreed we would host it here. If they complete the studio by then we can see if we can have fun at both studios and make a serious Pole Party out if it!!! I have some other great news for those of you close to the Tallahassee Area. it looks like we have 11 that have marked they will be attending the pole jam -- I will invite you to the group also Marion. I was just trying to get the word out there in both locations to see how many would respond.
Ladies you are welcome to JAM at Vertical. We have 18 foot one piece 2" poles installed. We have 18 foot one piece 1.75" poles being installed. While you are here, Why not try: (1) Tissu (silks), single, double trapeze. Produced by French Circus Co. (2) Lyra, Trap Lyra, and Aluminum Hula Hoops by Trevor Boswell (3) X-stages, we have 2 for demo. I don't offer Free shirts or Free refreshments. I do offer sore muscles (free), sweat (free), tall poles, new tricks, a fun time, lots of room, and a positive memory. All classes at my studio require an instructor to be present, not available. as such I will be present for individualized and group sessions.
