I know this is nothing new, but am really keen to hear anyone's views on this! I'm wondering if pole dancing needs Olympics status and how would it alter things for better or worse, if the petition does go through? Thanks! x

I don't mean to sound rude seeing as you are new and everything. This has been extensively discussed here on the forum and if you search on either "olympics" or "petition" you will see the varied views. There are also several links to blogs and articles within the discussions.

Sorry - I did try searching on both olympics and petition but it just said that these words are ' too common' to show any results. How would I find forum posts about these topics? Thanks!

Chem that did sound rude silly! 🤓 Welcome to the site!!!! If a member posting something we have already talked about it's a sign that the site is busy growing!!!!! That is a GREAT THING 😀 😀 Yes this has been a big topic for a while now. I know its still going on all over Facebook too! My feeling are: Yes, it could be in the Olympics we all know it takes skill, strength, training ect....BUT if it happens more than likely it will be taken over by gymnasts (I doubt we would see Felix as a competitor) and regulated so much that the art of it would/could not exist. I love my pole DANCE. Pole is ART ATHLETIC and EXOTIC. I respect them all but my personal favorite is the art one can bring to pole! 🌸 🌸
