Can anyone reccomend a good pole crash mat? I think I saw one on the web maybe related to x-pole but can't remember - it folded up nicely. Anyone know of any? Thanks!

I have a mat from poleomat in the UK. It cost $192 and isn't very fluffy, but it was inexpensive compared to the 5" one. it gave me the confidence to do a ton of extended butterflies last night and a walking shoulder mount.

Both PoleMistress and Fenixdncr have made crash mats out of two crib mattresses. I've done this myself and they work GREAT. Here's a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pM8DnLGxgHc I recommend you watch PoleMistresses first. She explains the reason behind the duct tape and the crib mattreses. Then view Fenixdncr's. Her addendum shows how to make it more sturdy. I use PoleMistresses version because I have limited storage space and her version allows me to take the two apart completely and stack them in my garage.
My daughter told me the other day that I need to put a cushion under myself, so I think it's time Is start looking into some mats LOL. I must be making her nervous LOL
Those look great... I wonder if there's a way to cover them with fabric and make 'em fold? I have no storage space, so anything I own is visible from my entire apartment. (Gotta love lofts.) But I'm pretty sure that even though bamboo is a "softer" wood, it would still hurt like hell to fall on. 🤸

Deb Riley sells pole mats - I know she sells them over here in the UK, but not sure if you could find them in the US. Think it might be same the same as MissJulie is on about now I look! 😂 You can find it on here - http://www.poleomat.com/ I have several pole instructors who use these as they are puttable awayable and padded enough to cushion a fall. Hi there, I did some research about this myself, since once I start learning inversions I don't wanna break my neck IF I fall. I found this website, which I think is pretty much the "only" place in the US that sells crash mats: http://www.lilmynx.com/shop/index.php?cPath=1_25 They are pretty pricey though, $199, almost as much as the pole. If you wanna be creative, and don't wanna spend that much, there are two things I can suggest. I was gonna try these myself. They sell these workout mats at any sporting store. They fold out into 4 sections. You can either buy one and cut it into 2 pieces and then velcro it together in the middle. Hope that makes sense. Or buy 2 crib mattresses and do the same, use a heavy duty velcro in the middle and you got yourself a home made crash mat. Works just as great!
