I saw on the polecon homepage "Certification Programs will be held on June 21-22 and the Convention events will open up on the evening of Friday, June 22 and will go until Sunday, June 24. This is a West Coast event not to be missed!!" I guess this means that the convention will begin on the 22nd (unless one is doing certification stuff). I am waiting for the Convention passes and Workshops to be posted to see what will actually be scheduled. Looks like ridiculous amount of fun.
I'm highly debating this. Highly debating. If I end up working a booth and use my Marriott Vacation Package benefits, then so there.
Just checked flights last night. It is $579 from east coast!!! There was one ticket at $407, and it is for change-overs too. hmmmmm.....
hmmm wonder if Karol and Alethea need a Merch Bitch for the convention 😀
Damn these flights are expensive! Maybe its the time of year that makes it so pricey... I don't know but I paid 160 for a round trip ticket to NYC recently.

I really think its b/c its LAX, its pricey for me to come out of BWI as well.
I'm planning on coming out from Toronto...SO EXCITED! It's like pole Mecca for me!

Any ideas as to how veneers can connect to meet at pole convention. This sounds like an excellent opportunity to actually meet veneers finally! :) This pole convention is very close to me and don't know if it will be so close again.

Good god, I hope they have name tags that we can wear throughout the day so we can find and identify each other! lol Maybe i'll suggest it... 😉 I mean will there be Veena buttons w/ our names? lol @ phoenix kazree will you be doing a workshop there? I hope so! 😀
@ CabBear, I won't be teaching any workshops, but I will be performing as a featured soloist Saturday afternoon :)
@phoenix kazree - that's great that you're performing, I hope I'll get to be there to see it! I loved your performances at the Resolve This! Showcase in Maryland. I wanted to congratulate you afterwards but I ended up leaving in a hurry. Your freestyle was very impressive. (I was also a performer in the showcase and you helped me with the stage pole during the pole jam) :)
I'll be there and I'm so excited. I just got my flight last week. I think I'm staying off-site at the Sheraton with some friends. Last year, the hotel was soooo loud I couldn't sleep. Pole peeps sure know how to party lol.
I learned the hard way the last time I went...check the performance schedules if you don't want to miss them and make certain you aren't taking a workshop when the shows are held during the day!

How are we gonna identify each other/ fellow veeneers. I would like to meet as many of veenerians as possible that weekend. Any suggestions?

Hmmm, perhaps something simple to identify each other. A red sticker on our tanks or something easy like that.

Mechie, I'm flying from Baltimore (BWI). I'm flying Southwest and my ticket was $409.
I'm on the east coast too :( but haven't looked at flights yet...

Same here, coming from NC. Tickets are $380 right now.

I'm driving to buffalo airport which is 45 min away from me in mississauga,canada and my flight out of buffalo to LA was $320 plus 40 taxes. I'm excited. I heard from a friend who went last year that you can order a dvd of the whole pole convention which has even all the workshops filmed in it. You can order it and they will send it to your home.
I'm going to be dragging my butt by the end of this...we are coming from another convention in Las Vegas (non-pole) straight to this convention! What a great week!
