ok after looking around the best site i found to check out hotels is definitely expedia, i just threw in hotels near national harbor, DC and it came up with 2 or 3 pages worth. there are a good amount of them that are under 100$ a night, but im not sure on walking distance, they are all just across the river from the gaylord center and i dont know if you would be able to walk it or if you would have to spring for a cab at the end of the nights. ill probably end up staying across the river because they are so much cheaper myself lol 🙂 hope that helps anyone looking to go to the convention! 😂
so now since USPDF is over, im working on getting stuff together for Pole Convention. I know someone mentioned about not staying at that particular hotel. Based in the info I put in (checking in that fri, checking out that sun) this is what Kayak.com came up with. http://www.kayak.com/r/R3wAwM. At Gaylord, if there is 4 to a room then its $40/person per night. I personally am not concered about travel considering A)im about 45min from the Hotel and B) ill have my car back on the road (road trip in the MINI!).

My pole studio is planning to come up so I think I might as well. I'm really gonna have to save though 'cause those prices plus a workshop plus a hotel is gonna be like $200. Sounds like a blast though. Hmmm...need to make more money.

Oh I so wish I never moved. I would be there in a heartbeat. For 17 years I lived in the metro area. I moved to FL and feel like I am missing all the action.

I was asked to speak at the convention 😳 ..... but turned it down 😢 With the kids and no one to watch them I just don't see it working out. Chris has already miss a lot of work due to planned and unexpected trips. I'm hoping that I'll get to go, but I'm sure it will be last minute. If only my mom would take up my constant offers to fly her out here to be with her grandkids!!!! I miss out on everything. 😈 Oh well my kids wont be little forever I guess........
Ooh ... I hope I can make those dates work ... I used to live in DC and it would be so fun to go back for a pole event!

I'm going to be a vendor there as well. It's going to be the big debut for 'The House of Pole" and I'm beyond stoked! You guys better stop by my booth and say hi.....and buy some shoes! LOL

I know im going, but staying overnight im still trying to convince the hubby that I need to stay all weekend. By then you all can meet Eleanor (my MINI - she will be back by then, shes getting an upgrade transmission style!) 🙂
We're staying for a couple of extra days and going to stay at the Gaylord. I know there are cheaper places locally but that's a good price for the Gaylord and so much easier to stay right where the convention is. We have't booked our room yet but Ive bought my workshop and pole jam tickets!

I'm going.Hopefully I'll be able to talk my best friend into going with me. Girl talk+ pole = FUN.Hopefully I'll be sorta be on the mend by then. 😀 😀

My website is still under construction but I'm selling a few things on Ebay for now just to get my selling fix. i just saw this!..man i need to catch up on my veena threads! a couple girls from my studio may be coming, so if the airfare isn't too bad, i so want to come! i didnt realize how much all these conventions cost between all the classes and the airfare/hotel. 🧿

I feel weird that I never said I was coming. Weeeird.
