Pleaser Disco Lites

I just bought a pair of Pleaser Disco Lites. One of them won't turn on when I press the button, it also doesn't do anything when I plug it in (the other one flashes to show it's charging) UNLESS I press the power button...then it starts flashing like it should, but even after charging it won't turn on. Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm still well within the return period for the shoes, but just thought I would ask in case there was some reset or simple fix!
