Please help me choose a video!!!!

Can anybody help me choose a video thats right for me??? I am a fairly new dancer and I already know these moves.....the cross knee layback (with hands) , inside leg hang, basic invert, the wrist sit, and i dont know the name but its like a stationary chopper with no hands if that helps 😀 I wanna purchase a dvd but I am not sure which ones to buy...I am looking at Art of Pole, Vertical Dance, and maybe Live Once....also I hardly have any strength what so ever so I would like to build 🥂 CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME!?!?!!?!?!?!

I have quite a collection of pole dvds so it does depend on what you want to work on. Honestly I'd only recommend maybe ten of them, a lot of pole dvds aren't too good in my opinion. If I could only pick one set however, I would pick Art of Pole. It literally covers everything from how to warm up, safety, and has the most pole dvds compared to the other dvds. If your looking to learn at home you could always check out the online lessons here. I have strength building, routines, transition, and more. You can also what the lessons on a smart phone if you have one. 🥂

Veena's online lessons do have great selection! I personally use them too. Plus studio Veena lessons can be viewed on the iPhone which makes it a lot easier if your pole is not near a DVD player!

I would recommend SV before I would suggest a DVD simply because the lessons are updated consistently and you get more for your money. I have Vertical Dance 1&2 which are both great, Fawnia's pole work dvd which is okay but it kind of covers a lot and in today's pole world it's really disjointed - however this is a great collectible DVD to have. I also have Fawnia's advanced DVD which is pretty good. I have Pantera's Pole Tricks 101 which is also good but these are older DVD's that don't go into as much depth as newer DVD's on the market. Pantera's DVD is pretty advanced too. I have heard GREAT things about Leigh Ann's DVD's and they kind of let you in on Be Spun Signature style. Live Once was also recommended to me by Amber Richard. Art of Pole is a great series but I've only seen Vol.1-2. What I did see was great - hse breaks everything down thoroughly and even gives you mini sequences - much like Leigh Ann's DVD's. If you are a fan of any of the above dancers it's good to get their DVD's because they do give insight into their methods and styles of pole work. I still think most bang for your buck is the SV lessons. It's good to learn from a lot of different people, but if for now you just want something that will teach you how to get started, getting warmed up, stretches, strength building, pole moves and routines...SV is your best bet and works within most people's budgets.

i got one of leigh ann's bespun videos (intermediate) i would NEVER have been able to do any of the stuff in that video had i not learned from the veena lessons. (maybe that stuff was covered in bespun's beginner vid... idk) Another thing- Veena offers so much information regarding your muscles and safety. that's probably most important.

I collect and have pretty much every dvd out there, ranging from amazing 😛 to garbage 😈 but my favorite learning tool is still Studio Veenas 👸 online lesson. 🫡 I find her lessons are well rounded, well explained and broken down and professionally/beautifully filmed. Plus she has awesome floorwork and booty dancing 🤸 🤸 included which hardly any dvd has. Also, its like christmas 🎅 all year with her lessons as she is always adding new tutorials. You will definitely get the most bang for your money. 🥂

Plus no matter how good all the moves are explained on any video, I always have a question, big or small, about at least one of the moves. Here at Veena's you can leave a comment on the video if extra help is needed

If you're on a budget, I say just go with Veena's lessons. (Even if you're not, I highly recommend them.) She breaks all of the moves down fabulously, has several floorwork and transition vids and has now even put up some routines. The lessons are seriously amazing--they helped me finally understand some moves I was struggling with and now I have really clicked with them. I say if you like a certain style of dance, i.e. the Bespun girls or something like that, get the video just to get insight into how they move and whatnot, but as far as the actual technicality of the moves, I would say definitely go for Veena's lessons. I love them.

I have veena's lessons, art of pole, and leigh anne Norsi's lessons all three vids. I like the art of pole because The videos do a good job of teaching the moves. One let down for me was the transitions. I felt I had a definite lack of danceability once I went through those videos, but they are good for spins, inverts and things like that. Leighanne's vids were good for me because I like her style overall. I like the way she moves and I wanted to learn how to be a bit more sultry. Her videos are built on beginner, intermediate and advanced combos rather that individual moves one at a time. Veena's videos are excellent for strength, flexibility, spins, floor work, inverts, static holds...you name it. It is all right here. AND AND the best part is that Venna will assist you in any way you need with a move if it is difficult. I like that they stream really well on the internet and can be taken anywhere...(even on my iphone) I have to say the clear winner for me is Veena's lessons even though each video collection offers something different. Veena's lessons are more comprehensive for the price. ( which a year is equal to the price (99.00) of the art of pole and the three leigh anne vids) there's my two cents 🙂 Hope this helps.

I love them. I agree with you. I got Leigh Anne's vids just because I love her style and her movement, I'm a big fan of her sexy flow ( LOVE IT). But for technicality purposes I like the breakdown Veena gives in her vids here.
