Hi girls, I'm brand new here so sorry about my newbie question...But what do you guys do to avoid getting callous on the palm of your hands?? It hurts and it's not the most attractive thing in the world when I'm holding hands with my man and my hands are more manly than his. lol I really wouldn't want to buy those gloves (whatever they're called). Any tricks? Or you guys just deal with it? Thanks!! 😳

hmm i dont know.. if anything i NEED those nasty dry bump hands for work anyways haha. plus I'm guessing they help with grip with poling? only cuz they help me rig O_O I just deal with it, your always gunna be smashing your skin tight and ill always happen.
Olive oil and rock salt. rub the two into your hands, then rinse off and apply good moisturiser. calluses are there for as long as you pole.
I have calluses - and I am so glad! Without them pole hurts more AND is much harder! You can repeatedly soften them and get rid of them, once a week or something, the way the previous poster said. BUT that will mean you will have less strength in your grip. Calluses and pole belong to together. Just like callouses and gymnastics. Or calluses and guitar!
I scrub my hands weekly with facial scrub. MAC have a great one. I do it when I'm doing my face, so it takes off the top hard layer, but leaves the callous intact. They are required for pole, and it is easier if they're there. Alternatively, intensively moisturise your hands on non-pole days with a body butter - my rex are Skin Food for the lack of parabens. All natural and really good. lather this on, put on rubber gloves and do the dishes by hand. At the end, your hands will feel way softer, but you won't have lost the callous. The olive oil / salt trick removes the hard, dry top layer. the oil penetrates, giving you quality deep moisture to the lower layers. It won't remove them callouses, just makes them less noticeable.
