Ouch the Carpet Hurts my Foot

Okay so I have carpet in my living room where my pole is and I can not for the life of me do any type of pretty things on my feet like a pirouette (spelling error probably sorry!) because of the carpet slowing me down and it burns my foot. I haaaate dancing with socks on, and I can get the spin in my wedges but I wanna be able to master it barefoot first. Anyone have suggestions?

I agree with TP foot undeez of some kind are perfect for that, i use them on my hardwood as well:)

I was having the same issue!! I ended up going to costco and getting office chair mat, it was tricky cutting the hole in it for the base but i love it!!

Oh yes the pain of dancing on carpet! I use footundeez but they only help a bit, my toes still get stuck. Lol 😜

I'm actually a weird one in that carpet doesn't hurt my feet... linoleum, though, that frigging HURTS! I used (and have) a pair of Foot undeez as well, and while I don't need to use them on carpet, I could see how they would be extremely good for any surface that might hurt your feet. I found them at a local dance store when I was in another town for a short time, so you could look them up, or at the links these other lovely ladies have provided!

I had the same issue and I was looking into getting ballet flats or some sort of light shoe with a leather bottom. In the meantime I put on a pair of those little socks you can get to wear in your flat shoes, they are sometimes cotton, nylon or lace and they have worked wonders! And they are cheap and readily available just about anywhere. They are nice because they cover just your toes, the bottom of your foot and the back of your heel leaving the top and the side of the foot open for contact with the pole.
