OMG! pole is moving! help :-(

i have had my pole for a little over a month. it is attached to a joist in the ceiling & to a cement floor. when i started doing some spins today i noticed it was slightly moving (between an eighth of an inch & a quarter of an inch) where it is attached on the ceiling so i stopped poling until i figure out what is going on. 😨 😲 i know it's in a joist 100% for sure! what do i do? should i move it over a little bit? i love poling so i don't want to stop & i can not afford to get hurt or to break my house down OR to buy another pole. no one had used my pole so except for me so i'm not sure how it suddenly is loose but it's pissing me off! it has all metal parts & i know it's not the pole but the shitty craftsmanship of my house 😈 the pole is very tight between the floor & ceiling & yes it does have carpet in that room but it is such a tight fit that i don't think that is causing the issue... i think maybe the builders used crappy wood or something... i honestly looks as if one of the screws is just wiggling around in there 😢 but i don't see how that could be possible since i screwed it into wood for sure! has anyone else had this problem? & if so how did you fix it? the room i have my pole in is really the only place i have to put my pole in because the ceiling on the lower level of my house is 9 feet tall (my pole is 9 ft) & the upper level of my house has 8 foot tall ceilings. so it has to go in the room.... i reallllllllllllllllllllllly hope this can be fixed!

...What kind of pole do you have? You say screws, so it's.. permanent? but then, I was like.. ??? because your pole bottom looks like an x. Anyways. Carpet needs tightening like.. a milion times before it's actually tight. Like, when I put my pole in my living room- I seriously tightened it two rotations (PS multipiece) every time I poled for like a week, then one rotation for a week after that. And the rufker still needs a turn around when the carpet gets around to compressing every once in a bit.

yes it is a permanent pole from hardcore poles. it doesn't move much at all but i don't want to break anything (like me, lol) so i am waiting for suggestions on how to fix it before i pole again

Ok, I know what's goin' On now 🙂 it's pushed down to the carpet pad for sure! My boyfriend stood back & looked @ it while I put weight on it & he said it was being pulled down into the carpet about 1/8 of an inch! So what do I do to fix that with a permanent pole? Is there some type of pad or something I can put between the pole & the ceiling (or the floor) to make it have a tighter fit? I'm gonna call hardcore poles tomorrow & ask them what to do

You can't extend your pole at all? It doesn't wind or screw up, or have any extensions you can add? Bummer! Yea, I'd say unscrew it take it down and then put a rug under the pole the same thickness that you have squished the carpet by, and then reinstall the pole.

Yea, I'd say unscrew it take it down and then put a rug under the pole the same thickness that you have squished the carpet by, and then reinstall the pole. 🫡 🥂 thats a good idea! i am going to call the place i bought it from & ask if they have some sort of pad kind of thingy that will make it fit better & if not then i guess i'll go rug shopping 😉

i don't think so because there is a gap between the pole & the ceiling & the pole. i messaged the place i got my pole from so i am hoping they will have a suggestion. when i bought it they told "if anything like that happens to give them a call because there are some things they can do to fix it" so i am going to cll them when i leave my office in a few if i have not received a message back by then. i'll keep y'all updated so if anyone else has the same problem they can see how to fix it too!

hardcore poles messaged me back last night & said they would make a thicker base plate for me. & since i am going to drive my pole over there for them to "fix" it they are going to let me join in on a lesson for free while i wait for my new base plate to be put on my pole 😁 i am about 15 miles from their studio so it's really no trouble at all. i have to wait until saturday though, they are making the base plate for me for free too so i don't mind at all! i was thinking i would have to pay for new parts or buy a rug or something so i am really happy! && i think i am going to order the art of pole set today too! i had the money saved up & ready to order on monday & i was going to order it on tuesday but when my pole had suddenly settled i held off on ordering the DVD set incase i had to spend that money on a part. 🌈 needless to say i am a very happy girl this morning! && once again the customer service at hardcore poles has gone far beyond my expectations 👍 🥂 👍

That's AWESOME. Isn't Hardcore poles friends with POLEWAXERS, 'cause I so want to go there and take a class! That's SO COOL. Bootybouncing 101! wehehhehe

yes amcut, pole waxers university & hardcore poles are actually owned by the same people & in the same building. they are sooo nice over there! my mom & i are going to take a class over there soon because she is getting a pole too! && i have good news about my pole! it was only moving because one of the screws had snapped. my dad came over to help me take it down and measure how much space was between the pole & the ceiling, i put all of my weight on it & he was in a chair beside the pole so he could get an accurate measurement & he couldn't get the little metal tip on the tape measure between to pole & the ceiling 😀 we were going to take it down to try to figure out the problem & the first screw we touched was actually broken 😮 it was like 1/4 inch long, lol! so he put a different (stronger) kind of screw in & it is tight again 🥂 🥂 🥂 so i am going to go pole in a few, yay!!!!!! oh & my boyfriend is an idiot! lol! he said it was moving away from the ceiling at least 1/8 - 1/4 inch... more like 1/60 inch! duh!
