Ok so I was trawling through my Perez Hilton news feed this afternoon waiting for the working day to finish, and come across this article about the Pole Dancing bid for the Olympics. http://perezhilton.com/2010-02-25-pole-dancing-at-the-olympics Just in case you were thinking, wait, that picture looks familiar... that's probably because ITS ME 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 That's right, out of all of the hundreds or thousands of pole pics he could have used via google search, he decided to do his trademark writing BETWEEN MY LEGS! I'm still shaking from surprise/shock. OMG!!!!

Wow - that is random! You should send him a message or something. And I have to say that after reading all the comments those people wrote, I hope we get into the freaking Olympics in the future just so they can eat all their nice words they had to say.

WOW, read the comments and all I have to say is WOW!!! do we really live in this ingnorace??? is it really true that so many people out there are THAT stupid? I can't.... You should send him an email and ask him to take your picture down. 🙁

the person that said "if you think pole dancing is basically gymnastics then you haven't watched enough gymnastics" should know how big of an idiot she sounds like, she obviously hasn't seen any real pole dancing, dear lord.

tbh I don't really mind that he used my photo, I'm actually kind of glad that he used a more artistic one, I would have thought a guy and website like this would be more likely to use one of the many dodgy cliche stripper with her fake boobs hangin out pics. Shows a lot more respect for the idea of pole dancing as a serious, well, not necessarily sport, but something to be considered outside of the traditional strip bar. I wouldn't worry too much about the comments, PH just attracts the freakoids and crazy people that love to leave slanderous comments about whatever the topic is. They are quite amusing though! I am surprised that he didn't use the pic of the Japanese winner that surely would have been submitted alongside this press release from the IPDF.

You know...I kinda find that cool, and funny! Of all the pictures he could have written on, he chose that one, and to put it between your legs! Quite the publicity 😉 I don't really follow the guy, and I don't really intend to (his writing makes my brain explode), but that's kinda cool!

I am surprised that he didn't use the pic of the Japanese winner that surely would have been submitted alongside this press release from the IPDF. It's because your legs made such a great platform for his comment! 😀

OMG!!!!! You must be so chuffed that out of ALL the pole dance photos he could have chosen, he chose yours!!! How the hell did he find it??? If I was you I'd have like a BILLION questions spinning around in my head!!! What an awesome pic though!!! Its SO pretty! 😀

Reading those comments made me so upset that I actually starting crying in front of my computer. Why are people so closed minded and judgmental? I showed some pole moves to my aunt who put my cousin through gymnastics and she thinks it's a great sport. She think there should be after school program for children to start them young (gymnastic mom much?). She also thinks that to get it accepted, we need to take the word "dance" out of it and change it to "athletic pole". The pole DANCE as we know (heels, sensuality, femininity) could stay in competitions like the USPDF. But "athletic pole" done in the olympics should be done barefoot with a style similar to oona's. I really really want to make this a reality so those nasty commentators in the link can drown in a pool of their own disgusted puke.

Hey Polegrrrl, that's pretty cool, landing on Perez. I go to that site a lot, how did I miss it???? The comments are so unfortunate, but they always are on that site. Reading them, I feel compassion for the dancers out there that these comments are directed towards. Such hatred and intolerance!

Sorry you became a victim to perezhilton.com. It is a very lovely pic of you and a great article! I actually didn't even notice the writing until someone mentioned it in chat and I went back and looked at it again. Like you said, at least he picked a good pic! 😁

You know the way I read the article, because they spoke about Mai Soto so much, I would just assume readers would think that is a picture of HER and not you. I know it's not, but it doesn't really show your face, and you have nice pointed toes! 😂

I think that's a kick ass picture of you and being that Perez Hilton is somewhat of a celebrity I'd be flattered that he used it because a gazillion people are gonna see your sexay legs and those beautiful pointed toes. F all those haters who know nothing of which they speak. i swear I've been defending pole dance in the Olympics all week. It's getting tiring. LOL

If you upload it to Internet, even on a private site, you usually have to kiss to it goodbye. Although it's true you own copyright if you TOOK the picture (in most countries the photographer, not the subject, owns the rights), copyright violation on blogs and stuff rarely ever gets to court. Usually the worst that happens is a cease and desist letter and fine. I thought it was Mai Sato too. Judging by the way Perez wrote the article, I think maybe HE even thought it was her. It's hard to tell with online communciation, haha. In fact, I thought you were excited, not pissed off, when I read your original post. You never can tell with these things. 😂 The Internet can be so easily miscontrued!
