I just recently purchased a pole from my local adult store. It's very slippery and I had to buy mighty grip gloves to even remotely try anything on it and my hands still sweat n my body still slips. Any suggestions on what I can do to be able to stick more?

What sort of pole is it? What's it made of? Maybe you could post a photo? Different pole materials require different cleaning techniques when they are new and you are getting the factory finish off - also something to bear in mind is that cheap fun poles such as are often sold in adult stores are often not safe AT ALL for climbing, inverting and using with your body weight, they are just adult toys for posing and playing with rather than proper dance poles like x-pole, Lil Mynx, Platinum Stages etc.
