No hands Cupid--help!

I just cannot get the no-hands Cupid and it's driving my crazy!  I can do the Knee Hold and other things that require knee pit-grip, but for some reason this isn't working. Are you ladies pushing your hips forward when you do this move, more so than the Cupid with a hand on the pole or leg?  It's helped me a bit to have my bottom foot on the pole, have you found this as well? Thank you for your help!
