I want to buy a X-Pole X-pert but after reading many of your comments I am very nervous. It is concerning me that many people are having dented domes after a couple uses, scratched poles upon unwrapping, and stuck x-joints. Thoughts? Should I wait a little while? I wanted to buy it for myself as a birthday present next month.

I'm exactly the same way. I'm curious as to what responses will be. I would get a static, though, not interested in spin mode at this point. Also don't know about titanium gold vs chrome. 🌸
I know I want the 50mm Chrome - that was the easy decision 😀 I simply asked my instructors what they recommended - so easy decision. I am just nervous about spending $350 - 400 on something that may break quickly.

I hemmed and hawed and couldn't make a decison FOREVER. I read and read and read some more. I totally understand what you mean about being nervous about making a decision. But I came to the conclusion that if I keep waiting for something to be perfect, I may wait forever. Nothing is perfect in this world after all, right? So when SissyBuns put up a post that she was doing free shipping for one day only, I took the plunge and bought my pole tonight. Yay!! Now I'm just excited to get it!

I don't know anything about the Xpert, but I thought I'd tell you about my pole. I have the X pole...just a regular, simple, x pole, and I love it. I have had no problems with it. It isn't scratched. It isn't bent. I've had it about 2 years now. It is stuck together, but that's because I neglected taking it apart and cleaning it in the beginning. I'm sure I can get it unstuck one day. 🙂 This may be one of those "newer doesn't mean better" things. But again, I have no idea. I don't know anything about the xpert. But the x pole is wonderful and worth the money.
I use the X-Pole at my studio and thanks for your feedback. I know everyone raves about their X-Poles, I think my concerns are more directly related to the new pole. If I could get the regular one, I would! But sadly, there are a lot of negative comments about the new "revamped" pole.

I was one whos xpert showed up with spots where the gold had rubbed off on numerous pieces including the dome. I called xpole and they shipped out new pieces instantly and I got to keep the other pieces. Now I have a couple extra extensions all because of a couple tiny rubbed off spots. I also had a problem with my spin mode...but I am 99% it had something to do with the rushed way my hubby helped me put it up. We took it down and carefully put it back up again, and no problems. My point is, they have great customer service and should you run into a problem, you call and speak to a real human and they will take care of it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my xpert. I owned a lil mynx before and I'm telling you...the xpert is worth the money! I also received the new bottom loading version, which they claim eliminates the problems of stuck pieces. Why don't you just call them and express your concerns and see if the conversation with them makes you feel better about it?

I was having the same reservations about buying a pole but finally just decided to do it anyway. I have owned two different "old school" Xpoles and they were wonderful. Whenever I had a problem, I contacted Xpole and they were always super helpful. The biggest problemI had with them was that the middle two poles would unwind from ea other when I did left handed spins (I am left handed, so that was more often than not) and it would disrupt my dancing and in a few case, mess up my moves, because I had to stop and tighten it or depending on the move, it would make me not secure in my hold. The reason I am getting this pole is because it alleviates that problem completely. I do have a PS one piece, but I would still like a more portable pole that I can travel with, and quite honestly, Xpole customer service is much more reliable than PS and their poles have less issues overall. I'm hoping I won't have any problems with this pole, but even if i do, I am sure Xpole will be excellent in helping me to fix it. 😀
