NAKED around your kids??

OK I haaaad to share this. I know a lot of parent pole dancers are always concerned about our kids seeing the pole and what might happen if they find out about it or see us dancing on it. "Oh my God they might turn into little strippers and sex freaks" 😂 I think this vid is a good example of how just being causal, about things even NUDITY can be good! oh wow, I loved this!! 🌸 We are SO a naked family, our kids are really little (almost 4 and 2) so they have naked time often - especially in the hot summer! We live way out in the country with no houses in viewing distance so I'm often pretty naked myself running around with them outside. My husband and I have always had 'family baths' since they were newborns and totally slept with them in bed during their early months......and now that they're a little bigger it's family showers. Like a lot of the moms in the video said I definitely think there's an age expiration date on it, my husband is definitely getting more conscious of being naked around our daughter now that she's getting to be a little girl, but overall we are really open and encouraging about sexuality - especially me! As far as the pole - I am SO impressed with my daughter's skills 🫡 - she has got some really spretty spins and she incorporates moves from her ballet and tap class into her pole dancing. Her favorite song to dance to is Mandy Moore's ''Candy' and she has the CUTEST intro.......she stands next to pole with her arms and legs stretched out and holds the beat saying 'angel, angel, angel, angel', and then starts into her spin. 😂 I have great video and am dying to share but I'm afraid PCS would be after me! 🙁

Heee. Some of their soundboarding off eachother was silly. We were 4 girls- and after I was born, it was single motherdom. So, yeah, naked was a fact. I have nudist ties- but I'm not sure how a nudist family works. I also have qualms about my children being like me, and having struggles being themselves because I am so very out there. I want them to form their own quirks and ideals. I want them to have a healthy body image- but I don't see where adult male genitalia fits in. really, we're all tucked away. but men are so external. I just don't get it! 🙁 🙁 🙁 We'll probably be a panty family. And Matt can walk around in his panties, too, so long as I don't have to see the outline of his peen. And the kids can be naked until I feel weird and suggest they put on some damn panties. Or until they want to put on their own panties.

I guess I just don't see the reason for all the stigma about the human body. We all have butts... we all have boobies but generally women's are bigger... and we all have privates. So what? Get over it! But I understand that's me and part of my upbringing and not everyone shares that view.

Since my home is filled with estrogen, my hubby doesnt go with less then his underwear around the house! But my daughter takes showers with me, even she didnt i prolly never would get a shower and that would not be cool! 😀 And I tend to walk aorund the house in my bra and panties, and my daughter watches me change clothes, etc. She usually runs around naked! She strips down and streaks through the house! lol She freaked the paternal grandparents out when she took her diaper off and started doing summersaults!!! lol Kodak moment! Now around my 7 year old step daughter, Im a little more modest, shes seen me in my bra and panties, but shes very shy and turns her head because she thinks it wrong. She doesnt like any one seeing her without shirt or pants on, even if she has panties on, she covers her chest(well where her chest will be 😀 ) if you walk in the room and shes changing her shirt. One day her pjs were all dirty so i told her to put a shirt on and just sleep in a shirt and panties and she freaked out and said that it was not proper for girls to walk around with out pants on!!!! So thats her crazy momma talking lol! But other then that we are a naky naky family also!!!!

When my twins were toddlers we had the "nakey baby" song and dance! 🤸 🤸 Now that they're 11, they freak out if anyone sees them changing, even their twin. All 3 of my boys get flustered if they catch my hubby or I changing, and they look uncomfortable with my booty shorts, too. I can only guess they get that from their dad, cuz my husband hates clothes and I don't see the problem with a little nudity now and then. I'd rather have kids exposed to naked bodies than violence. Of course, I'm not your average mom; I'm a smidge liberal. I'm proud to say the twins just recently discovered that men can't marry each other, and they think "that's retarded!". 😮

I definitly grew up in a naked house. I think Europeans are less concerned with this, seems to me Americans are more puritanical about the naked body. I grew up with three sisters and although we don't get naked when our father is around, being naked around our mom or seeing her naked is nothing at all, nobody even blinks. Similarly, my dad has no problem getting naked in his house (yes, even now that we are all grown up) but obviously we look away! Nonetheless, nakedness is not considered a big deal at all in my family, I think because we don't associate nakedness with sex so it isn't awkward. This might be cultural, I think Americans do associate nakedness with sex and there is no concept of getting naked for any other reason. To me the whole idea that it's inappropriate or somehow sick or wrong to see your parent (either sex) naked is kind of silly, it's not like there is a sexual connotation. Obviously it's awkward and none of us seek it out! But it's no big deal if it happens.

LOL, oh my god that's too funny. Yeah we have a naked house and I grew up in one. My family moved here from europe when my dad was a kid so I wasn't raised with the whole "the body is dirty" idea. My daughter could care less...ok actually their are times when she still runs around the house naked! Me and my girlfriends talk about this all the time cause we're so open with our kids and none of them have hang ups or walk around acting too big for their britches so I totally believe it's ok. As far as the pole goes, I'm the after school mom and all the kids play on the pole and think nothing of it. They love it cause to them Angel's mommy has a cool jungle gym toy in the living room 😀 Quite frankly I encourage Angel to play on it, it's good exercise when she can't play outside (she even taught herself a reverse grab yesterday and a scorpio last week).

I agree with Fleur... having grown up in Finland and then moving to the States I saw those differences. Then in college we learned the theory that there is a difference between being naked and nude. It is one thing to be seen as an object (sexual or not) versus just being clothes-less.

My hubby and I were just talking about the whole violence vs. nudity thing. We were watching Thir13en Ghosts and the showed a guy getting sliced in half by a glass door. Guts and all... very graphic and realistic, then 30 seconds later they blur ut the top half of a naked woman's breasts. Like not even the nip is showing in the original cut? WTF!? They also show a guy being cracked in half by another guy, and blur out the woman's butt.... Gotta love censorship. Actually i grew up in a half naked half undie family. (Lived at mom's house with my sister, visited my dad's every other weekend.) Wandering around in the underwear is no big deal in our house. (I even scandalized a poor neighbor by running out to the car in my robe. Like he know what was or wasn't underneath it... 🧿 ) It's kind of funny, my sister's pretty open about the kids running around in their underwear at bedtime. My nephew's all for it, my niece never leaves her room in less than her pj's AND robe... 🤔

Every since my 3 year old son was a baby I have always taken baths with him and sometimes we still do. To this day I undress and walk around naked in front of him. I use the bathroom in front of him and so does his dad. I don't think there is anything wrong with it . In fact, I'm proud to say that from the time he was about a year old he could name every body part. I also use it as a time to let him know that people should not touch him in inapproriate places. He knows what his private parts are and the private parts of a female body too. I think it will make him respect his and a womens body more.

Love the nakey song lol My mom was a "naked" mommy... We bathed together when I was pretty young, but now I just don't wanna see it. I definitely agree that your child will give you signs to let you know when it's not OK anymore, and I definitely think that that point is at or before the time the child discovers sexuality and the like.

I guess I have a naked family too. It's hard for me to get a bath to myself, my 3 year old son always jumps in lol. I would much rather him not feel pushed away, then worry about him being damaged by seeing me naked when he has absolutely no concept of naked-ness being bad. Hubby will walk around naked if he's about to hop in the shower, but other than that it's underwear. I'm usually the most clothed though, but due to breast feeding my 2 month old my boobs are usually out lol.

we are a naked family. We don't go out of our way to parade around naked, or out of our way to cover up. The girls took showers with us for a long time but funny story about that, my youngest when she was 3 went to the Jersey Shore with my sister and took a shower with her. She asked my sister why she had hair down there 😮 my sister was like well doesn't your mommy? No 😈 I'm just glad she didn't ask her why she didn't have jewelery down there as well 🙄 that would have been a real shocker for my uptight sister. My girls are also total pole monkeys. I'm jealous of their skills! 😁

Yep theres alot of nudity in our house but usually happens mostly before and after bathing times. My 5 year old daughter still bathes with me regularily and my 8 yr old son bathes with dad. My kids sometimes still bath together but it's becoming less and less as they get older. On super hot days I won't lie, I walk around topless most of the day. Most of the day, we are all running around the house in our underwear and we sleep usually just in our undies, no one wears pjs in this house, even in the winter. We figure our kids will let us know when they are not comfortable with nudity in front of them. My 8 yr old son is just starting to kind of be modest when he's nude, so I think the regularily covering up will be coming soon. I know my eldest hit that age around 9, so we started covering up around him more at that point. My mom was always nude & undressing in front of me when I was growing up even when I was a teen and it didn't bother me at all, it was natural to me. And she STILL does this. But the one thing that was a plus about all the nudity growing up, was I have no problem being nude myself in front of strangers (gym, spa, topless beaches, nude sunbathing etc) in fact I love being nude, wish I could be nude all the time, it would make things so much more simpler lol. And my both my kids play on my pole. My son has more of a chinese pole style and I'd love to find an LA studio that teaches it to kids, so he can expand with it. He's got amazing strength. My daughter just mimicks what I do, which is cute. But if she shows an interest in it as she gets older, I will encourage her to pole for fitness and fun appropriate for her age level ofcourse, I see nothing wrong with it.

When i was little my dad remarried and i lived with him and my step mom for a few months. My stepmom is ten years old than my dad and has a granddaughter my age. Sabra and I spent a lot of time together when i lived with my dad- and they would let us run around in just our underwear with no shirt on outside (they lived in the country at the time in east Texas) Looking back on it now as an adult, there was nothing wrong with my father and stepmom letting us do that. Well when i moved back in with my mom a few months later (i was only 4-5 at the time) she threw the biggest deal about me not wanting to wear shirt. She looked at it as being very inappropriate and unexceptable. I can see why she would feel that way because we have always lived in the suburbs with many neighbors. But at the same time- I wish it wouldnt have been such an issue because as I child I was confused to why she was upset and then I started looking self consciously at my body. Now i am not blaming my mother for the way I feel but at the same time- I would try my hardest to handle that situation differently if I had a daughter. Instead I was fussed and there was no explanation to where I could understand. From then on- i viewed the naked body as a blinding sight until I became older and wouldnt even change in front of friends

I have an 11 year old son who still loves naked time. He even has a song called "Naked Boy in Town" that he sings and dances to while naked. He would kill me if he knew I was wrote that 😮 My husband still walks around naked, but I stick to panties and bras in front of my son. My naked time stopped when he was about 9.

Hubby was raised way different than me and when we first got married he wouldn't even sit on the couch without shorts and a tshirt. Now he'll run outside in his underwear to hurry and drag the garbage can out when he hears the trash truck. Our son (almost 4) loves being naked. No problems here. As long as kids know when and where it's appropriate I don't see a problem with naked time. I usually wear at least a bra and panties around the house but we only have one bathroom so when I'm in the shower the door is open so DS can come in when needed. I also have no problem walking to my bedroom in the buff after a shower to get clothes. My mother in law would be horrified. Tee hee hee.
