my pole and extensions

Hi everybody!!!! I have just started doing pole dancing and I bought my first my pole. It's a X-Pole XX, the problem came when I measured the heigh of my ceiling and decided to buy a 175mm extension. My ceiling is 2830mm high and i by the moment I have three extensions (125m, 175mm and 250mm) with this 3 extension the pole would fit perfectly, but my surprised was when I received the 175mm and realised that it only had one hole... so I have been doing some research and order a new 500mm extension to try to solve the problem and start pole dancing at home. Can anyone tell me If I was right buying this new extension because i'm getting tired of wasting my money and not using the pole:( Many, many thanks
