My first pole fall!!

PoleDanceABCs started this discussion ยท

To make a long story short, the pole I attempted to dance on was loose. Apparently someone else had danced on it that day without problems but when it was my turn, Murphy's Law. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I was only doing a Fireman and I was pretty close to the floor so I didn't have to deal with too much kinetic energy and gravity. Thankfully no one was hurt, only a 6-pack of beer sitting on the floor (no I wasn't drinking) was destroyed (nooooo! not the beer!), and all I got was a sore butt (not even one bruise). If the pole had fallen in another direction I think someone/thing/animal would have gotten really injured/broken. I'm also happy the pole went the side of me and not under or on top of me. ๐Ÿฅ‚ In a way I'm glad I had my first fall because I have been dreading one ever since I started poling about a year ago. It was sort of a "riding a bike/horse" scenario... You know that one day you will be riding and something will happen but the best thing to do is to get up (if you can ๐Ÿ˜• ), brush yourself off, and get on again. So the moral of the story is: "Never trust a pole to be on tight and always do a 'tug test' before dancing." lol ๐Ÿซก
