Membership fees

Hi, my free days have just run out and I was considering paying for a month so as to continue with the 30 day plan.  I noticed it says underneath 'recurring'.  Does this mean I'm tied into a contract orcan I just pay for one month.  I want to pay for my fees when I have a little extra cash, rather than it just come out every month of its own accord.  Also, I am from England so even though the site is American, am I still able to purchase membership? Thanks! :)
