Male Pole Dancer from Toronto, Canada!

Hello Ladies (and gentlemen..? if there are any, other than me...) I am a man and I love to pole dance! I train several days a week and put a very masculine edge to sensual movement, impressive tricks, spins and strength holds. Ever since I saw "Bad Azz", the Pole Diva's guy from Australia and Remi Martin on Youtube last year, I knew it was something I had to do!! I notice that there are not many men in this sport, but I love it anyway and I'm on the lookout for any events where men can compete or at least perform. It took me a while to even find a studio that did not discriminate against me having a "y" chromosome!! I did after awhile find one in Toronto that actually had a men's class. So, where are all the other men? and where can we compete?

Welcome!! We do have a few guys on here that share the love of pole!! I personally don't know of any in the states...but I'm sure there are some comps in CA! I hope you post some vids so we can see your moves!! 😀

Hey there, I'm from Toronto too 🙂 I'm not familiar at all with the pole studios around here, the only one I've seen is Aradia, which was pretty small. I heard there's also a couple more, including one downtown called Flirty fitness or something... so if you don't mind me asking, which ones did you go to, or, do you know of any good ones around here? Although I prefer learning at home anyway but I've been curious...

Here I am, Veena! And hello to you, ManCandy. I'm David, another male pole dancer! I am actually in the very same boat as yourself, quite desperate for opportunities to perform and finding very, very few. Here in the United States there aren't any competitions that males are welcome to perform in; the USPDF is a little bit behind the times. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Canadian competition though. Your execution of the Genie is impressive. I find that when performing that move, I feel like my abs aren't going to hold me, so I instinctively clasp my hands behind my back to take some weight off of the oblique! You don't seem to have that problem at all. Good on you! If you have access to any video recordings of yourself, I'm sure most of us would enjoy seeing them. Do you have a YouTube? I have the same screen name there. You should enjoy it here. It's a great place to play, share, learn, and receive advice from excellent pole dancers. So far, I have not experienced any negativity here, and all the gals seem very receptive and welcoming to male participants.

Hey, wicked move, Mancandy! I'm just down the 403 in Brantford and we have a studio that gives classes to men; in fact, the owner's a male! Might want to organize a pole jam sometime. I think there's another guy in London, too, but haven't seen him post anything for awhile! ☀️

Welcome to the site ManCandy! We have a lot of fabulous guy pole dancers on the website! This is by far one of the best sites I've ever found!!! I would have never thought I'd post any of my progress on the internet but this website makes you feel at home!! I have never once had bad feedback, nor have I seen anyone else get it!! This site has some of the kindest, supportive, helpful, and nonjudgemental people ever!!! I have really came out of my shell on this site! Welcome! I'm fairly new here as well, but nowhere near as skilled as you. I hope you stick around here and post some vids of you in action. There are nowhere near enough guys in the pole dance world.

I told the studio owner last night about you and he says that he would def. hold an all-male pole jam at his studio. He's really interested in networking with other local male polers. He's here in Brantford just off the 403, so the venue is easy to get to. Google Eryx studio for more info and contact. That video was HAWT!! You are aptly named, mancandy!! 😂 More please! 😀

Hey there, I'm a former dancer, that is looking to learn how to do pole dancing. I have seen some guys do it, and have friends who do it competitively in Australia. Wanted to give it a shot, but are there any places downtown Toronto who offer these classes? Thanks! iakona
