Major pole dilemma! :(

So I've been wanting a pole since July but haven't been able to afford it. So my boyfriend has decided that he wants to get me a pole for christmas. But...there are a few problems here. First problem: we just moved into an upstairs apt and so I've got very high vaulted ceilings. The ideal spot for a pole in the apt is at a ceiling height of 10'5" plus! So I contacted Lil Mynx (whom are very nice awesome people) and they said they could make a 10'5" solid removable....but, shipping would be around $140 making the grand total $400ish!! Sheesh! Plus when we move again that pole will be trash if I don't have super high vaulted ceilings! Second problem: my friend who lives in the same apt complex as me suggested that we put the pole in her garage so we could make it our little studio (so awesome :]). This way I could just get a regular pole (beit x-pole or lilmynx). But..... I would want to be able to take it from the garage to my apt to practice in the comfort of my living room and so the boyfriend can keep up w/ my progress 😉. So the other day I came across Platinum Stages removable pole and they have a vaulted ceiling mount anddd extentions! This is perfect! So I tried to find some feedback on the PS poles on these forums but couldn't find any. I just really need to know what I should do! Please help! Thanks!! Love and light!! Voodoochild

Haven't tried the vaulted ceiling mount, but I love my platinum stages pole 😀 If you're not planning on staying in that apartment long term, I'd go for the pole that gives you more height options. Hope you get your pole soon, they're so much fun!

I have a PS. I love it! In terms of safety, they're just as safe as the X-pole, but I think X-pole has nicer customer service. Kim is very efficient, but she can be a whore. I'd suggest you lie to her when she asks you how often you unscrew your pole. It's none of her business anyways. In terms of grippiness, if you were considering a minx stainless steel- then you'll be a little grippier with the PS stainless.

The only problem with the vaulted ceiling adaptor is that you will be using a one-piece solid pole, not the multi piece so you will be stuck with that pole height if you move and you cannot take it to your friend's garage. What is the top of your vaulted ceiling like? Do both sides slope up to a point in the center of the ceiling? SOrt of like this shape: ^ If so, if you can get someone to build a wedge out of wood that fits into that center portion of the ceiling filling in the point at the top, but with a flat bottom, you don't have to secure it in place, just set it up there and when you tighten your pole into place the pressure of the pole will hold it securely. I hope this makes sense....

You know loopielou, I haven't even thought about getting a stage... Hmm perhaps I'll look into it! Thanks! I'd love an xstage or something similar because you can take it wherever you want then can't you? Good luck making your decision anyway 😀

What is the top of your vaulted ceiling like? Do both sides slope up to a point in the center of the ceiling? SOrt of like this shape: ^ my ceilings all vault up to the left. I live in a one bedroom apt so when you walk through the door the highest part of all the ceilings is on the left side. There isn't a peak ^ it's only a slant \ if that makes since. Lol I honestly don't know if I would have room for a x-stage. Hmm. So you can only have a solid PS pole with a vaulted ceiling?? That's blowssssss. 🙁 why does this have to be so hard 🙁

No that wont' work on your ceiling then. I would check with PS and see what they advise....they may feel you can use the multi-piece pole with the vaulted adaptor but I'm not truly familiar with it. Call them and see.

You could just go with using your friends garage...maybe to save on cost she could help you pay for the pole too if she plans on using it. You would have money left over to buy heels and boots! 😂 Then you could get an X pole so if you ever do move, you don't have to buy a new pole....also are there any rooms in your home that don't have the vaulted ceiling? Maybe its worth moving some rooms around? We turned our huge master bedroom into my pole room and now we sleep in a small room in the house, but its worked out really well! ☀️
