Hi, I am dying to buy a pole but I can't get over how much they cost. Does anyone have an xpert pole 45mm? I'd prefer titanium gold, but I'm not too picky about the finish. It would be even better if someone had a vaulted ceiling mount too, as part of my apartment has vaulted ceilings. Thanks!! Rachael

Unfortunately, your have little information on your profile so we don't know where you are from..... I have a friend who is looking to sell her Xpole. It is a 50mm Chrome Original but we live in BC Canada. (this one will fit ceiling heights up to 12ft-if I remember correctly....) I also have another friend looking to sell a 38mm Brass stationary.......again, here in BC (this one will only fit ceiling heights up to 10ft) So, if you let us know where you hail from......we might be able to hook ya up... By the way~~welcome to StudioVeena...........This community rocks! It is a great, safe place to grow into your pole shorts~~ 🙂
Dang it........I hit enter and it sent it before I was finished......... And apparently my brain is not working on the same level of function as my fingers as I can't seem to type..... What I also meant to add in that previous reply......... With poles, YES............they are pricey, but worth every penny. Cheap poles are not made for the type of activities, tricks, spins etc....we are going to use them for. If you are going to get addicted(which, will happen) spend the money. Even a 2nd hand one will still cost a bit, but it will save as opposed to purchasing new. I have seen the after effects of a "cheap" pole.......... One of my students sports a long scar down her spin that she received courtesy of a knock off "My Pink Pole". The gap in between the sections was not flush and got worse with use..............she slid down---and opened up her shin quite nicely. Another student with a cheap pole----did a simple fireman spin and it came down............almost went through the screen of their brand new 50" plasma tv. Good, reputable poles (US Side) Veena sells the Xpoles here............. Platinum Stages in another alternative and Lil Mynx as well. All have varying reviews but all back their product. Your next task will be to find out what type of surface you prefer. Chrome, Stainless Steel, Brass, TG, Powder Coated, Acrylic...(I think that is all of them) I have only ever worked on Chrome, Stainless Steel, TG and Brass. Out of the 4-brass is my buddy. My suggestion............If there are studios in your area, find out what type of poles they use. Do a drop in and try out the poles. In a perfect world...............you will find a studio that has brass, another that SS and so on.... It is good money to spend, so do a little "patch" testing first. again.....welcome to our SV family
OMGosh, I'd love to get a good used brass or SS, not sure on height but don't most poles adjust up & down a bit. I weigh more then I did when I polercised years ago, does this mean I should get a thicker pole. Part of me leans toward getting pole w/ stage, very afraid of getting faulty pole & having it come lose midroutine. I've heard of this happening with cheap poles. Is there a good place to buy good quality poles, with or without stages, SS or brass, set not spinning, in the Southeast United States?
Sorry, wasn't finished. I've used the colored poles, they're nearly impossible to slide down, & I've gotten a pole burn from one. I've used professional brass poles set & spinning & prefer set. I assume stainless steel is similar or the same. I prefer an easier gliding pole, like a brass pole that's set not spinning & can hold a large mans weight because I'm totally paranoid I'm gonna be swinging or climbing & the pole & I will fall into the wall / window / television / floor. I'm on a fixed income, for now, I had to retire early due to health issues. I'm going to get better, & I want polercising to help me get back my lean muscular build.

If it makes a difference, I'm 5'4 & I weigh 150 or 160, I used to weigh 120. I'm hoping to tone & shape what I have, & maybe get down around 130 or less. I just want a good solid sturdy pole made of metal that will hold me & my fear lol.
MysteryAnjil-- If you are looking for a new pole, xpole, platinum, and lil mynx are all located in the US..So shipping wouldn't be too bad to ship to you. I know Veena has FREE shipping listed here on her Xpoles. Worth looking into. Yep, the tension style poles come up and down. Xpole doesn't have a permanent pole option that I am aware of........but Platinum Stages and Lil Mynx do. However, I had heard the Lil Mynx Permanent was causing some problems at the ceiling by tearing it up somehow. I just don't quite remember the details....If you search here, you should find it. They may have fixed all the issues by now. I haven't seen/heard a peep about their poles in a few years. As for weight restrictions and poles The tension mounted poles are rated for 250-300lbs............ There is a whole engineering math thing going on(which is not my strong suit) It is sideways force, and downward..............Again, there have been several threads here on Veena about it which explain it well(way better than I will) so have a peep through the search. Standard poles are 50mm but we are starting to see sizes between 38mm and 50mm. You won't need a bigger pole. The poles we purchase for fitness/dance are sound, well constructed and tested. I have had a 38mm warp on me though. I get some wicked momentum now and I bent him and brought him down. If you have a look in my photo album....there is pics. My hands LOVE the smaller poles, my thighs----well, it takes adjusting. As for the stage poles---They take some getting used to if you are used to using tension/permanent poles. The stage poles wiggle..... My stage is a big clunky 5x5 base(larger than most) Love it as it is more stable than the 4x4 I used....but he still wiggles. I just have to tone it down when we use him. If you want to buy 2nd hand, I would start watching the Craigslist in your area. You will likely find a poler in your area who is selling one. I think I managed to catch all your questions..........If I missed one....let me know. Shortly after I posted this I caved and bought myself a xpole. :) thank you all for your help! Actually I tried to put the pole up in my small bedroom, and after kicking the wall a few minutes ago I'm looking for a vaulted ceiling mount so I can move the pole out to my living room where I have a bit more space. So if anyone is interested in selling a vaulted ceiling mount that will fit a 45mm TG xpert xpole, please let me know. I live in the Albany, ny area but I could pay shipping if your not local. Thanks, and I have to say, I'm new to this site, but I love the sense of community and support here. You guys are great :)

@Rach:Xpole sells vaulted ceiling mounts for their poles. @Mystery: I'm 5'3 and my weight varies 145-155. I've not had any problems with my X-pert.
