Learning the Splits??? Is it possible for me??

I have been working on my splits lately and was curious if anyone else taught themselves when they were older? I am 23 and have never been able to do the splits (although it's not something I attempted until now either)... I just wanted to know if anyone has any tips or ideas and, like I mentioned, I'm curious about who (if anyone) learned to do the splits on their own when they were a bit older. Thanks 😀
