Just wanted to say...

you guys are the best and I"m so grateful I found this forum. Here, I can be myself, and not worry about what people have to say. Here, I have a place to post my work and achievements. I work in a work place predominantly comprised of women (37-1), and I can tell you, that behind the composed and well manicured facade of nicety and decorum, women (or maybe people in general) are a gossipy and judgmental bunch eager to get an few words in sideways about someone else's business. Most of my pole related skirmishes were with women (not all from work of course ). You've got the girl who thinks "it might as well be porno". Or the girl who says "it's EASY!" because she took a teaser class back in college and now thinks it's nothing more than hip circles and grinding (I blame the studio for this one). Or the girl who asks if you plan to quit your day job. Or the the one that just stares at you like a mute. π The internet doesn't fare much better, just spend a few minutes reading youtube comments and it's enough to boil your blood. In the course of my pole adventure, I came to realize that just because someone takes a few pole lessons, doesn't mean they truly enjoy (or even know) pole for what it is. I have meet girls who took pole classes once in a blue moon because they thought it was "kinky" and it was something to brag to guys about. Many of the girls I've meet who took pole classes simply did it because it was the new "in" thing . For the majority of ladies and gents who try poling, it does NOT become an obsession. Shocking ain't it! π If it did, Veena will need to expand this website FAST considering the number of girls I saw go through the studio when I was a part of one. But here, everyone is just as addicted to pole as I am. Tomorrow when I get into work, I will inevitably be asked, "Whatcha do last night?", to which I will undoubtedly reply, " I caught the new episode of Glee." But what I really really what to say is that I spent the entire episode of glee trying to pull my left leg behind me over my head (it's called a scorpion pose in cheer leading terms) and I FINALLY held it there for a few seconds and I can't wait to be able to do it while I"m in a Gemini. So thank you everyone here at SV for being who you are.
