Just installed lil mynx, we've got issues

So I finally got my pole! It's a removeable standard stainless steel lil mynx pole. I also got the vaulted ceiling mount....but unfortunately there are some issues. The pole is just barely tall enough, so it's not all the way on the mount. The base of the pole moves and spins when I'm playing on it since it's too short, but only by an inch or two! I don't have the non-skid pad as I thought it was only for noncarpeted floors. But maybe it would help? Dunno. Also, as we were tightening the adjuster tube to the vaulted mount, the actual mount would spin... No bueno. My boyfrind want to get a thick 6' x 6' piece of wood to put under it kinda like a stage, wrap in it carpet or something, and actually bolt the base to the wood. I'm thinking it sounds like a good idea but I'd like to hear some opinions! I'm ready to go full out on my pole but for now I'm stuck with cautious half attemps with all my tricks. Please help! how tall is your ceiling? the adjuster tube-- you've gotten that all the way out and it's still too short? ideally you should have your pole (including adjuster) almost an inch taller than your ceiling. you need it to compress that much to actually be stable. it should absolutely not be spinning at all.

I also have a lil' mynx pole with a vaulted ceiling mount. I used to have a problem with the actual mount spinning when I'd use it on spin mode. I just took my alan wrench and really tightened both parts of the mount. I did not mount my pole to the highest part of my vaulted ceiling since it would've been way too short. I would have to get a custome pole. Maybe you are trying to mount it too high? Lil Mynx has awesome customer service and they can help you trouble shoot problems or if it's defective they will send you a replacement. Let me know how it all works out for you. The spot where my pole is the ceiling is 10'5". So with the vaulted mount my pole needs to be at around 10'5"?, so it reaches the mount but when we turn the tube the mount turns with it ( might have something to do with the two inches of drywall that's there before the stud). I think if we just put that board under the pole it will add about 2-3 inches so it might be ok... Thanks for the help! 🙂
