It must have been really hard after a c-section! Oh my goodness... Well this week has been tough to keep up w/ goals, but I am doing a good job I think. I have stretched 2x besides working out. 1x pole in studio so far and have one tonight. Had to move my Wed. class b/c/ baby had her 8wk shots. She was super fussy. Gonna hit the gym Sat. and Sun. for a bit.I had to stop and start both stretching sessions to grab baby BUT I resumed! That is what I call success this week and I am really proud of me🥂 Would love to hear how Zoraya Judd did after her baby...(I saw a video and I am in awe!) She is my new fave...I have new goals now and I know if she can do it so can I! I love looking up to those who "walked" before us. Hope that makes sense. Hope you all are acheiving your goals too...

Great job making and meeting goals! I am usually really bad about that, but I am going to try and be better andtoy are such am inspiration! So lil was due on Thursday but she hadn't arrived yet.... Still waiting lol
Thanks ninja! I made my second pole class yesterday and I felt really good about making it! I also slipped in an extra stretch session w/ a DVD for one of the 12 min sesssions that it offers....so I am doing well. I am keeping it tracked or else I'd probably not do as well lol. Anyway, today's goal is to make it to the gym for a little bit. Our other daughter is in sports for the next four weeks on weekends, so even making that demand is gonna be a challenge, especially with the newborn. I usually bring my baby to the gym and I push her in her stroller until she falls asleep. Then I just keep her next to the machine that I am working on at the time, so it is easy. She is right there with me the whole time. Good luck on your delivery and get plenty of rest and recovery afterwards. Pole will be waiting for you whenever, so just focus on you.

Never made it to the gym Sat or Sun. but I was super tired anyway. I caught up on Sunday which was good. Did some walking outside too. Today went to park and walked for an hour(pushed the baby). Goals for this week...2x pole classes, 4x stretching, one time gym...(setting it lower so I'll make it-setting acheivable goals is key). Beach one day too-more for walking than anything else....basically getting outside 4x this week because it will be nice out. I did great on my stretch goals last week and I made two pole classes. Wahoo😀🥂
and ninja...I have seen you around today... so no baby yet? I hope it's soon!

Not quite! Lol the doctor said yesterday I am in pre lab (which I already knew that lol) dilated to 2 cm. I have the feeling the big show down won't be till thursday though, fashionably a week late.... Starting out just like her mom hahahaha (I have a history of doing life in my own time)

Although, I will probably be on SV from the hospital on my galaxy tablet lol, if I have to sit there minimum three days I might go through SV withdrawals without it, plus I will need some way tell the whole world of our arrival!!
Any update ninja? I didn't even post a goal last week b/c I was sad not make my goals. Well I only stretched 2x last week and only made 1 pole class! I had family in town last week and this week. I did make 2 pole sessions this past week and stretched 3x so far. I have to fix my account at the gym so I have not been all month! That is on my to-do list this weekend. Also to put pole back up now that family is back out of town.I have gotten out and walked 3x this week. Doing better with pole too. I feel like I need a spotter for most of the moves that I was comfy with before and I felt proud to be working on everything again!🥂 Goal next week: 3 pole sessions, gym 2x, stretch 5x.

Hi! I'm here! My little girl is just a week old now! I have been been taking this time to really connect with the family and get our little one settled :) I started my workout routine this morning just some very light cardio and AA's stretching for pole, goodness I didn't realize how bad I had gotten! But that's ok! Slow and steady consistency will get me there! My goals for the week are to do my light cardio and stretching 6 times this week and to walk an hour a day. So, day one 1/2 done so far! You seem to be doing really good! Family and other distractions (for lack of a better word) can be a challenge to work around, but picking up whenever you can isgreat! KeEp up the good work! You finding time is encouraging me to do the same!

That's so soon to go back to pole. Aren't you just knackered after the slightest move. I started again 8 weeks ago, but I had complications from early pregnancy, so had to stop at 6 weeks pregnant. Was desperate to get back on my pole but my daughter was nearly 8 months by the time I started classes again. I had my pole back up a couple of weeks before that. My first time back on the pole I could have cried, I couldn't invert and could barely hold a spin position. I was so disheartened, but now I've been back 2 months, I can Ayesha again, superman (sometimes), and all the moves inbetween. My stomach muscles still aren't back yet, they are coming back slowly, and the moves I have recovered don't look as crisp as they used to, but it's only been 2 months. (so my class keep telling me). So don't get disheartened, keep at it, and though it may feel that the phrase "I used to be able to do that", comes unstoppably out your mouth when practicing, remember you will be able to do it again. Not as fast as you would like, but you'll get there. Congrats on your return and happy poling.

@ninja- Congrats on your daughter!🥂 Please don't excercise just yet. You could still hemorage or something. The are where the placenta broke off needs to heal. Give it 5-6wks. I had ressumed intamicy at 3wks but waited to pole b/c it is way more intense than any gym session. Even walking may make your hips sore. Remember that your body had to turn them out for your baby's head to come through it. I had a sono at 8 wks post partum and my uterus still had a thickened myometrium! Our docs recommend NO excercise before 6wks post partum here, although I felt like returning at 3, my hubby said no way.
should say the area where the placenta... @Sarah great to hear that you are back! Congrats to you too. I felt like crying after one class too, but my teacher is really great. She is upbeat and always makes me feel good about where I am. I have to remind myselof that I took 19-20wks away from all activity and that I need time to rebuild. Please post your goals here so you can also track your progress🙂 @Veena, how long did it take you to feel just like prepregnancy?

Oh, I am not doing anything actually strenuous, I did like 20 minutes of a kids dancing video game on easy mode, some stretching, and then ths evening we as family walled around the neighborhood (at my 2 year olds pace) all normal stuff, it's only exercise cause I was really lazy lately and my doctors are ok with it :) I haven't done any pole whatsoever, haven't put it up yet even, I am not trying to hurt myself lol, but after three kiddos now I recognize what I can do and what not to. I am not in a hurry as much as I thought I would be, I am actually feeling this really groovy sense of peacefulness and am content to just get off the couch for 20 minutes here and there :)

@ Rixi: when you say healing time was 2 months and no rigorous exercise for months after that... when could you go back to poling? (spins, conditoning/pull-ups; and when for inverts and other stuff) and when you say you got the bikini cut so your muscles were not cut... does that mean that you didn't lose ab strength from muscles being cut? (ie. the strength lost was just the typical strength loss from not working it out instead of your muscles being extra weak from being cut?) x
Made it to 3 pole classes last week! Wahoo! But this week haven't made one! I won't make one until my workshop this weekend at this rate either....may have to travel early just to get some pole play in.... Kids are off all week and it does feel good just to be with them. I always feel like I am rushing the kids and rushing me and it is a lil nice to not go out but the pole at home isn't even up b/c we are redoing one of our bedrooms... I don't know where to put my pole now! I had just found it a new "home" bummer...The only other place is right by my front door...hmmmmmm...... Hope everyone else is doing well w/ their goals or not being hard on themselves if they aren't! Gonna not make goals for next week except to do the best I can! I did get out and walk w/ the kids today atleast...
Well this is why I don't typically write anything til the weekend, but looks like I will make class atleast today and can slip in another tomorrow maybe too before we leave town🥂 So I will update in a few to let ya all know what happened
So I made my two classes and then I made my Alethea Austin workshop! It was awesome!!! it was a drops class. Anyway, I did good last week. This week I have made one pole class so far and stretched 1x... next week should be good b/c my schedule is gonna b better, yippee, one day at a time... Hope everyone elses goals are going well!
