Hey JC, I figured you'd post the news all over SV!!! I'm so happy you're happy and I'll try my hardest to get down there for that Sat. date to meet with you and Sissy. Like I said, you guys are invited over to my place anytime for a pole jam if you can get up to Northern Baltimore. I have 4 poles!!! Anyway, I might want to get in on that carpool down to the East Coast Comp so let me know the deets. I'd love to cheer on Jessalyn in person. You tell me when and where! B-more is my stomping grounds...which is odd considering I'm scared of DC. Go figure!! I can't wait to meet any of you peeps in person! B-More is wayyyyyyyyyy worse den DC!!! LOL 😂 You're a fruit cake 😛 NOW I'M SCARED Of B-MORE!!! You seen the way they dress? 😂 Nah just kidding! I love everybody! 🥂 Even crazy B-More people 😛 Let's pick a Sunday Sissy that we all are free and head up there! I'll pay for half the gas!! 😀

I'll ask around next week when I go and I'll let you know what I find out! 🫡 I'd try to get in on the USPDF carpool but I'm going to be in Richmond hauling ass from a baby shower so I won't be able to pick anyone up or ride with anyone 🙁

waaah!!! i wish it could be soon! we all really need a studioveena convention!! I know!!! I personally think we should all go to a competition and then have a giant pole party like that same weekend. We can all attend the comp together, then meet up the next day and pole our hearts out. Eat, drink..be merry. Maybe crash a strip club or two....😎

Lord I would kill to be in a class with all of you!! haha I don't think I'm that great but I'm seriously going to downplay it at first. Basically I want to pick up proper technique at class then try it at home. I don't want to discourage or intimidate anyone. Women can be very fragile and delicate creatures and I care about them too much to make them feel inadequate. 🙂 But if there is one of those types of women who thinks she's a hot shot and talks about everybody else I just might have to take her down a peg or two for the rest of the class if I can! 😂

And from reading this forum I think that there is a need for either more studios to start catering to male dancers as well or a need for others to start opening up studios that do.

Congrats Jungle Cat! I already love your dancing and videos but I can't wait to see the vids once you start taking your classes. Thank ya Jazzy dear! To be honest I can really understand the apprehension of having males in the studio with females. I'll be frank, the majority of men are really perverts 😂 It's funny but it's true and sad. I can definitely see guys falling in love with all the dancers. I'm head over heels in love with all of you!! 😂 But really all it takes is that one totally crazy guy and you have a potential horror story waiting to happen. So I do understand the need for seclusion in these kinds of matters. But what studios should do is at least offer a certain time for a male class or a weekly mixer. That way a female has the option of whether or not she wants to be in a class with a male at that particular time or just prefer to stay with all females and males can be accomodated as well. Or at least make special arrangements. Two studios I contacted just flat out said NO. Even when I emailed them some of my videos. But another studio gave the option of making special arrangements. They said I could work out with an instructor independent of the regular classes. Which is cool put I just didn't want to have to pay more just because I was a male. But I was still willing to do it on occasion just for the experience. And I still will go to that studio sometimes too actually just to get different kinds of pole dance exposure from others. Everyone's own unique style is very interesting to me. But I'm going to primarily stick to Pole Presure since it will be an actual class curriculum. 👍

lol don't worry Jungle, hopefully soon enough pole dancing will become soooo popular that they'll even have full separate male classes 😀 Personally the idea of having a male in a pole dancing class would make me a bit uncomfortable, not even just cause of the pervert thing, but also because as a true beginner, I feel like everything I do right now looks stupid and I'd rather not do it in front of anyone (that's why i practice at home) but at least it's better when it's in front of other women who are in the same boat as you. Obviously men are stronger and they will catch on to certain things a lot faster than women, right? So I think as with ANY sport, I feel that a gender separation is kinda required. Another thing to remember, is that not all women who take pole classes look like supermodels, and you know how MOST women are somewhat insecure about their flaws, and I think having males in the class would just be a distraction in that sense, so that they wouldn't be as comfortable wearing certain workout clothes or doing certain moves. just my 2 cents 😬
