Wondering if one can learn on your own.....in my area the classes are to much...but then again it's risky as well...any help????tips?????

I know many people that learn on their own... I used to teach at a studio and majority of what we taught we just collaboratively learned so I think by tapping in here in combination with youtube it is very possible!

TONS of people have learned to pole dance right here using the lessons!! The lessons are super easy to follow and very in depth. I am self taught!!! It is very possible. I didn't even know about SV lessons until I was over a year in to my poling!!!! Once I found that out, it was VERY helpful.
It IS possible, BUT I suggest purchasing Veena's lessons. Poling has a high risk for injury if done incorrectly. veena covers proper body positioning, mechanics, strength training and puts the lessons in order of increasing difficulty.
Wow thank you so much for some great information I just purchased a pole & I love it but also lost at the same time with doing tricks on it I guess it's going to take a long time but I guess your body gets stronger and used to it.....I just feel like I am never going to get there lol! You ladies have been very helpful thank you to all of you!

Welcome! I also highly recommend Veena's lessons :) Many the ladies here also do skype and google + pole jams, which are very helpful too for support and motivation.
