In case anyone is looking for an alternative to staying at a hotel, check out a vacation rental ;) http://www.vacationrentals.com/vacation-rentals/West-Palm-Beach-Florida.html I'm in no way advertising for this site btw! My bf and I rented a wicked little carriage house for the convention and it cost us far less than a hotel would have cost. There are a few rentals that are pretty close to the airport/convetion/beach too. Hope this helps someone!!
I just booked my flight! I'm soooo looking forward to this event! It was FABULOUS last year, and I expect more of the same this year!

Booking hotel and workshops right now!! AAH!! Doing Contortion, Becca Butcher, and Pole Jam Sunday for now. May add Rafaela or Felix later... It looks like they JUST released some really cheap fare to PBI from Chi for May, so I am holding off on airfare for a week or two, to see if it goes down for June as well... Not sure if my hubby can come yet, so it may be just a girls weekend!! 😀

Usually I just lurk on the site but wanted to say I cant wait to attend. Just submitted a request for a vendor table. Hope they accept lol. Wonder if wearing a Veener button would be a bad thing when I'm promoting my own business? Maybe i'll just put it on when i'm walking around. I want to meet some of the wonderful ladies from this site who have kept me motivated. Without y'all I would have quit before I could climb!

I hadn't been on the site in a while - saw they added a workshop with Marlo, but it's the same time as Becca Butcher - shoot! I would love a handstand class! Anyone who's taking it will have to tell me all about it! :)
I haven't even thought about the workshops yet.... still trying to decide if I can afford to go! What workshops were full piglet?

I'll be there. I'm super excited and can't wait to meet as many of you as I can. The workshops I'm taking are, contortion, Hanka Venselaar, Becca Butcher, Jenyne Butterfly, and Felix Cane. I just went back to the site to book the Pole Jam with the Stars and it was full. Boo hoo:-( Those of you in the same workshops as me, I'll see you on the pole! PS. I'm getting there 2 days early to enjoy a little vaykay time. If anyone would like to join me for lunch, drinks or a spa day, holla!

I'm excited just to go :) Not taking any of the workshops, just kind of want to spectate and of course have a bit of vacation time :) maybe purchase some pole gear and grip goo. Stoked to meet all of the wonderful Veeners! I'm not sure if anyone else is staying for a few days after the convention, but we're going to rent some bikes and hit the beach and shops, if anyone else would like to join in, lemme know :) Just a few more weeks!!!!
Hi everyone, HELP PLEASE :) I am wondering the same thing, I live in Canada... Its pretty expensive to come all the way there for the convention. I had to wait to confirm I could get time off to go, and now the only really big workshop I was able to get into was Felix's.. I wanted to take Jenyne, Becca, etc...and obviuously pole jam! What do you guys think, is it still even worth going after all these are full? I could always wait for next year.. Some of the stars are coming to my area, like Jenyne, Pantera, Jamilla.. Need some help deciding!!! xo
I personally would never take a workshop at something this large. Gotta figure, maybe 50-100 per class...how much one on one time do you really think you are going to get?? Save your money and take the local ones. As for just going to enjoy the weekend...I would do that just for the chance to meet so many forums peeps at one time.

Reading back up through the threads....looks like they had 21 poles set up and Felix's workshops were 2-3 per pole. Not sure if they will do it any differently this year.
At Amber Rays workshops we were 2 to a pole. But we were also learning a doubles routine on spin - which worked out well for being 2 to a pole. I had so much fun at the last convention and really wish I could go this year.

Hi Ladies, Can't wait for the Convention again this year, it was so Amazing last year! We are going to be vending again (Ris-K Lingerie), and while we have LOTS of new unique pole wear and supplies ;) I also would love to get input from everyone on what they are looking for from the vendors? I just got a Travelocity notice that they have a fare for $144 RT from Chicago! I didn't look too closely at it as I am already booked... But for anyone interested, it's out there. And there may be lower fares for other cities as well. Ryssa-- I would LOVE to see more pole wear vendors - I feel like there are a lot of casual & practice wear vendors, and not a ton of performance wear / 'costume' type vendors. That is my dream for the Convention... Casual wear is good, too, though - I can always add rhinestones later... :)
Hi Veeners, I'm the organizer of the Pole Convention and can clear up any questions. I see the most recent talk is that the paid pole workshops are sold out or there could be 100+ people in a workshop.... The paid workshops are sold out: when you purchase a convention pass you'll get complimentary pole play time, a free pole workshop with Jamilla, free grip workout workshop, free grip recovery workshop, free ATL booty clap from vertical joe's, free business classes for studio owners and managers, and you can perform in the spins and trix battle. There is so much action without purchasing a paid pole workshop, that you'll still get to participate in many activities and get solid pole time. In addition to the workshops, there is a new room added to the convention called 'The Lounge' and there is also a pole to play on for the entire weekend. Amount of people in the workshops: there is a maximum of 40 people to a workshop, just like last year. You'll only share a pole with one other person. :) In the Convention theater this year: There will be 80+ performers from around the world, 25+ speakers, the return of the Bad Kitty Spins and Trix Battle and Showcase of the Stars on Saturday evening. Performers in the Showcase Show: Natasha Wang, Jenyne Butterfly, Felix Cane, Jamilla Deville, Jonathan Nosan, Rafaela Montanaro, and Becca Butcher. In addition to these performers, Bad KItty will present performers such as Zoraya, Karol Helms and more. Hope to see everyone there.
