Installing a pole in a stippled ceiling.

Hi everyone! My Xpole arrived today and I would love to set it up tonight. Is it advisable to get a piece of wood to put under the popcorn/ stippled ceiling to make it a smooth surface? And if so, what size should I get? The pole is at home and I am at work so I can't even see the diameter of the top part. I am SO excited 🤸

Hi and welcome! I have a piece of plywood about 18 inches by 4 feet. Which is hmm, about 75 cm by 130 cm, roughly. Happy poling! 😀

Can you not put the X-Pole on a popcorn ceiling without using plywood? I remember seeing a thread somewhere that menitoned this, but I can't seem to find it! Found it! http://www.studioveena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2275

I have used my X at tons of parties with popcorn ceilings. No problems. But yes, it can knock little pieces loose so watch the eyes.
