Injury prevents me from poling :(

Ladies, I'm glad I can share this with fellow polers who have as much passion for the art as I do. I've been poling for about 4 years and teaching for two. I built up a business (dance studio) at 21 years of age almost by myself, training instructors, doing performances, getting media attention even (pics and articles in the paper and even 4 pages in Pole2Pole)! Last month I was hit by a car while on my bicycle. The person who hit me ran a stop sign and her bumper hit my knees, and my head smashed against her windshield. I didn't feel any physical effects from the accident until a couple of weeks ago. Now, at 23 I'm using a cane. My knees go out constantly. I've lost my studio which I put my blood, sweat, and tears into creating. I can't run, jog, do my contortion stretches, and worse of all...dance. It's the day before Christmas and I can't go to a doctor or even afford one. Now I'm afraid I've lost my love forever. I wonder and worry constantly that I've lost my gift. No more figure 8's or handsprings or extended butterflies, or allegras for me. The worst part about it is that I don't know the extent of the damage. I'm only using my grandmother's cane while I'm visiting, but when I go back I have no money for a cane. And I can't go back to my studio. I miss my pole, my students, my sense of accomplishment. This is very private, but I have a mental disorder and it is sometimes very hard for me. But when I dance, my mind is calm and even if my body is sore the adrenaline pumps and I feel a million times better. Only women who understand what pole means to me can understand what I'm going through. So thanks for reading. I know I'm new to this forum but I need some support! It's Christmas and I've been in the hospital with little family support or sympathy. I know I can get through this even if I can't pole. I'm just looking for ways how. Becca PS. Posted earlier in Rules forum so I wanted to put it in the right catagory
