Hi everyone, I just got the brass monkey from both the ground flicking up into this as well as from a straight edge from up on the pole. But I am in need of a graceful exit. Right now I just lower my legs down. If any one has a link to a better way of getting out of this or any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Joni

Hi Joni1: You can hook your outside foot to the backside of the pole and pull up into a pole sit. there is a great video on you tube that shows this. I don't know how to post the link, so the name of the video is "Pole Dancing Exercises: How To Do Climbing Exercises In Pole Pancing". The name is deceiving but the video does show well what I'm talking about. I hope this is helpful 🙂
You can also go into a layback following the instructions in that video with a slight variation of the legs at the end... At 51 seconds where she hooks her left ankle on the pole above the R knee...instead of turning to sit up, straighten the right leg, locking the front of the R ankle behind the L heel. Then turn so your back is to the pole and you can do a layback using a foot/ankle hold... From there go into bow and arrow, handstand, or just sit up from that position.

hi joni, congrats on the move! 🤸 I actually do 2 different exits from this move in my latest video. The first one is towards the beginning of the vid, & i think it's the easiest. I grab the pole again with my hands & hook the foot of the hooked leg on the pole while i slowly slide down (hard to explain, you'd have to see it). 😛 The 2nd exit is at the end of the video, and is the one that Bendie describes.. i found this one a bit scary at first 😮 (but you might not!). I don't know if this would help, or if i do them as graceful as you would like, but here's the link just in case you wanna see: http://ver3.studioveena.com/lessons/view/2119"; Practice & control can make any exit graceful! EDIT: i forgot.. you can also transition so that your back is to the pole, so you end in like a bow&arrow position- but i don't have a vid of that. you can try it though!
MIchelle Mynx does it here at about 1min 34 seconds. She doesn't hold the brass monkey but it's the same grip she gets into from her shoulder mount but you can see the transition of the legs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHCdLbhoT_4

LOL empyrean & i were writing at the same time.. she explains the transition into bow& arrow better, & provides a video, so never mind my part about that! 😀 😀 😀
Yours is a bit different in that you don't lock the two heels together Azriel...you keep the hooked knee bent. That can make a difference as some cannot lift up from the version I describe. BTW...very nice flow to your dancing!
