Hi there, I need help in getting out of the butterfly. I can do a split grip front handspring into a basic butterfly or straight into an extended butterfly but cant get out of it gracefully. I just end up dropping my legs awkwardly on the floor. 😢 Help please. How do you gracefully get out of it ❓ ❓

Instead of dropping your legs to the floor (which requires alot of ab strength & control to look graceful), try bringing your free leg to the pole, so that you end up in inverted crucifix. --Or-- you can swing your free leg around the pole into flatline scorpio. This is a bit harder though. If you can't do flatline scorpio, then you can just get into regular scorpio the same way, (by bringing free leg around the pole, hooking at knee, and releasing the other leg). 😛 I hope this helps a little, i know my description wasn't too detailed.. let me know if you didn't understand
yupyup! thats how i get out, is with the flatline, heather can go straight into the scorpio tho~ not fair 😂

Thanks guys. But what is a flatline scorpio. ❓ Any vids that you know performing it ❓ Also, do I bend my lower arm at the elbow ,leave it straight or lower it straight down when returning it to the pole to do a scorpio. I tork/twecked a muscle on my lower arm middle muscle a month ago and it sometimes still hurt when ever I'm doing a split grip and put too much weight on it. 😮

IF your hooking the leg that is on the pole behind your heel....you can pull yourself into the pole and grab the pole with both legs and go into a crucifix, this would be a bit more basic than going into the flatline scorpio 😉
I did the butterfly to flatline scorpio once. It wasn't a real good flatline but it was somewhat similar LOL. It just happened kind of naturally and then this cool spin thing happened as I slid down. I can't recreate it now of course, but it was cool when it happened.

Very easy and it sets the buttefly off as being as pretty as it really is. Good to have time between power moves so people can digest what they have seen and them ofcourse from a crux the sky is the limit as to what you can do out of that.

Hi guys, so I finally learned how to exit out of the extended butterfly from going back into the crucifix 🥂 Alot more graceful than dropping back down to the floor. And alot safer too since I sprained my baby toe before doing this. Now I would like to learn exiting using the flatline scorpio but i can't seen to get it from watching the vids. Do I rebend my extended butterfly into a basic buterfly bending my hooked leg or grab the pole with my hooking leg at the knee pit then swing my free leg around into a gemini? Do I lower my lower arm down the pole or keep it extended at the same place ❓ ❓ PLEASE HELP and THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
